Revised to 3 Star rating as it is OKAY for the price, though I would not buy it again for the two negative points.
This android mashmellow Lenovo tablet is highly recommended to anyone who wants a reliable small low cost 8 inch tablet. Set up was quick and trouble free. So far everything mentioned in other good reviews, can be confirmed, except longevity as I only received it yesterday.Updated: Feb 20, 2017.Now that I have had this tablet for a few months, I can confirm my first review but must add the problems of setting up the device which was difficult and rather complicated because I am not used to android Mashmellow. The only physical difficulty was inserting the SD card, which became dislodged from its position after a while making me wonder if it had failed. This was discovered after verifying through the settings that it did not exist. It showed up after reinstalling it and is now working.Updated: Feb 25, 2017.Same problem repeated itself. SD card again disappeared. Contacted Lenovo explaining the problem of losing SD card. They requested I send the tablet back for inspection as it may be a problem with the SD card slot. After sending me a laundry list of things to do beforesending it back, besides having to pay for the shipping cost to return it, I decided to give up as it is not worth all the effort. If problemcontinues again after reinserting the SD card for the final time, I will throw the tablet away. I cannot reach them to let them know of my decision of not sending it back for inspection and repair.Final update: April 14 2017Over all the tablet works: Negative: (1): Boots with loud sound that annoys. Contacted Lenovo but was told that it cannot be cancelled or minimized. (2): Slow startup and switching apps. Positive (1): Sounds great with speakers (2): Picture quality good.Updated: Mar 3, 2017Totally surprised this morning to finding after searching the Internet, pages of reports of same problem on Lenovo android 6 tablets. Lenovo may not even be aware of this issue believing it may be a problem with my unit, when they asked me to send it back for inspection. The wider issue should be investigated and action taken to correct it. Another brand is also having the same problem. The real issue is the SD card disappears and is no more shown under 'storage' under 'settings' with a request "reinsert SD card." After reinserting SD card corrects the problem, but this happens again. This happened without me knowing this was happening. That may be why it took so long for me to set it up.to "resert SD card" after it disappears when you search "Storage" under "settings."Updated: March 10 2017Lost my SD card again under "storage" in "settings" This is the end of my patience with the Lenovo tablet.Update: March 16 2017Finally good news!!! May have found the cause of the problem which haunted losing the SD card storage. Replaced the SD card with another 64 Gb SD card. For one week the problem did not show up.Only one minor irritation left. The tablet plays a notification when it is booting up and there is no way to delete it or reduce the volume. Some users have also asked for help but it is too minor a problemno way to remove the notification or to minimize the volume.

Good little tablet.
Great little tablet. Works great. Battery goes down quickly, just like all other tablets. No complaints. A bargain at this price. Would buy it again.

plus some extra (easily able to set up a "business" and a "personal" account to keep things organized and great for light leisur
In short, you get what you pay for. This is not a top of the line tablet, and there are times when the processor chugs for a minute and it freezes or lags. Not every app or web page renders or responds quickly. That said, I have had very few issues overall (primarily what appear to be Android system quirks) and am loving this tablet. It does exactly what I needed it for (managing some work documents on the go), plus some extra (easily able to set up a "business" and a "personal" account to keep things organized and great for light leisure use). As long as you recognize it is not going to be as fast or fancy as a $200+ tablet, it's a great device.

Waste of money, time and energy
I would have given it negative star if that was possible. Bought it for my husband on valentines day. He used it for 1 week and now I am returning it. It worked well for a few days then it started lagging. Press the home button and wait 10 solid minutes for it with only Facebook app running. It is so frustrating. It is impossible to use. Very very disappointed.

Good on paper, poor execution
I bought two and had to return them both. The specs look good, but the execution of the software was poor. I found myself rebooting the tablet every day or two. The Kids Mode stopped working in the first few weeks so my child lost all of their app progress and I had to create them a new profile. When you launch the keyboard, it takes forever to load. The tablet is encrypted but the MediaTek processor doesn't have the horsepower to decrypt so the performance stutters anytime there's file access. Dolby Service crashed all the time too.If they fixed the SW bugs, turned off encryption, and added another 1/2 GB of ram, this could be a great tablet, even at $150. Most tablets in this price range don't have Marshmallow. The small tablet category has become a race to the bottom, and no one is selling a middle of the road tablet anymore.

Everything works great except his Roblox games
Got this for my grandson to play all his games. Everything works great except his Roblox games. After playing a day or two on Roblox it crashes. We have to continually uninstall and reinstall it. We have kept everything updated to try and prevent it, but haven't found the fix. Other than that, it is a nice tablet. The main reason we bought it was for that specific game, so it is a bit frustrating.

Delightful tablet for casual users
Delightful tablet for a delightful price. I opted for the 8 inch instead of the 7 inch version because it's slightly bigger but still fits into the inside pocket of a coat or jacket, it has a newer OS and it comes with better speakers. For a casual user like me, this is the cat's meow.

Mediocre
They are decent for the price. We bought a bunch of these to use for kids and they function more ore less okay. We don't have it loaded with many apps and the few apps it runs, it ends up hanging and we have to restart at least once a session with the kids. The graphics display is pretty good, but overall it is a little slow and tends to freeze.
