Wolfe FX, Face Art, and FX Essential Hydrocolor Makeup, 12 Color Pallete

I love this palette set! Although not a professional face painter, I am a graphic artist, so I use other paint mediums and tools. The Palette itself was sealed in plastic & encased in a thin cardboard cover. It contained the paints, two brushes (small round & flat), and an information sheet. I would have loved an infographic describing techniques for brush loading, strokes, etc, as well as a list of recommended accessories. Thanks to the wonderful, professional Face Painters on Youtube, who freely give of their time and knowledge to educate folks like me. Seriously, thank you! The individual paints can be removed and then click back into place to secure them. They also have removeable plastic covers. The brushes can be placed in the middle of the palette for easy storage. The case itself clicks securely closed. This palette was used for face painting at a kid's birthday party. The color was bright & application smooth. They were great for brushing/sponging coverage and perfect for linework; very smooth, clean lines. I mixed colors within the containers themselves & then cleaned them with baby wipes, but I wish Wolfe had included a removeable palette pan for this purpose; things got so messy. Sometimes, I ended up smudging one of these color mixes on the child's face, because I hadn't cleaned my hands thoroughly enough. Midway through, we got hit with heavy rain. Although I was protected under a tent, it made for interesting conditions. The Wolfe paints held up well during the storm & humidity afterwords. The other brand of paint cakes I was using got sticky during the rainfall, unlike Wolfe's which remained workable. The kids playing during light rain didn't suffer significant loss of their designs; I was impressed with how long it held on. Overall, this palette was versatile and easy enough for a first time user. The more I practice, the better I get. Still waiting on party pics, but posted are a few of my practice paints. I have a ways to go skill wise, but I’m loving face painting & definitely going to purchase more from this brand!

I've used this pallet several times in many looks over the years. This Halloween I decided to go for a zombie look. This pallet is very easy to use and is very pigmented,but can be sheered out with more water. It is a water activated paint and it takes very little water to use. The makeup stays on all night and does not crack. I wore this makeup for around 12 hours and ate and drank all night with it on and it did not budge. For this particular look,I used a small fraction of the paint and could easily do this look again with what I have left. As for the removal of this makeup,I started with makeup removal wipes and and then went in with my normal face wash. This color pallet did not stain my skin. I have painted my face completely red with these paints and did not find it to stain my skin at all. I imagine this varies from person to person,but in my experience it didn't stain. I would continue to buy this brand of makeup for any Halloween look in the future.

I've been using this palette for years and it is a great basic palette. Great for beginners or punctual fun. It keeps forever. Colors are great, opaque, super easy to use, blend and clean up. They hold great with a setting spray (needed if sweaty and humid as where I live) I use it myself for costuming but also love using it with kids too. Great to teach them to blend color, be gentle if they paint someone else, etc. Great bounding moment and family laughs. Started using it with a 5 yo kid I take care of and loved and still love painting me and getting painted. Note that the green will leave a mark if left on long. It rubs off eventually not long after. It just to account for.

These were a lot nicer then I expected. Bought them for my sons birthday party. I am use to using the cheap face paint that you can buy at the local craft stores that are difficult to use and the colors run and wear off quickly. That is definitely not the case with this product. The colors go on vibrant and easily. They do not bleed into other surrounding colors, and they last until you wash them off with soap and water. Really liked this brand, and have been recommending them to anyone that asks where I bought my face paint form. Have gotten numerous compliments on the staying ability and how nice the colors look on so many different skin types. I am not a professional face painter, just a mom that has little (read very limited) artistic ability and enjoy taking these paints for birthday parties or helping out at school events. I always have at least one mom that asks me where I bought these paints and what brand they are.

These paints work great & love the colors except for the dark purple. This is pricy but I knew the quality was pretty good since I already went thru a set. Is long lasting.

Was waiting to review until after I tried these out. I always hesitated buying because the price goes from 30 to 40 dollars and I wasn't sure if I liked the brand. Well I saw a 1 day 20 dollar sale and bought 2. Figured even if I didn't like them I can give one as a gift to my little sister. I used at an event with my usual paints. I hardly touched my usual paints these were so good. They went further, showed more, and a little went a long way. They were smaller then I expected, but they got me through a 2 day festival. I am completely out of pink, you know how that goes. I will continue buying these, and definitely see they're a good product.
