Wow! This little JZENT Tesla Coil is absolutely fantastic and deserves every one of its 5 stars. It's way more than just a desktop toy; it's a captivating demonstration of science that's incredibly fun to interact with. Right out of the box, setup was a breeze – no grounding needed, just attach the secondary coil and a discharge needle (you get six tips to play with!), plug it in, flick the switch, and prepare to be amazed. The instructions are clear, but it's intuitive enough you might not even need them. The performance is genuinely shocking (pun intended!) for its size. When you crank it up, especially using the main center discharge tip, it throws an impressive arc – they claim up to 100mm (almost 4 inches), and it certainly looks the part! It's surprisingly powerful. Yes, it gets quite loud, and you definitely notice that distinct ozone smell when it's running full tilt – that sharp scent is part of the raw electrical magic happening right there on your desk! The different modes are brilliant. In normal mode, the ability to carefully touch the arc (as described) is mind-blowing and a guaranteed conversation starter. It's a bizarre, slightly ticklish sensation, and being able to safely interact with visible electricity like that is just plain cool. Don't limit yourself though. Try everything you have at hand. Light bulbs, LEDs, etc... they all light up as they get close to this thing. I even went out of my way and picked up a bunch of gas tubes with various gasses in them that glow different colors when you get them close. That was absolutely stunning! The Bluetooth Music Mode is where it gets even more entertaining. Connecting via Bluetooth was simple. Remember, it specifically needs square wave music (easy to find online!), and make sure your phone volume is maxed out. (Try to listen to the square wave music without the Tesla Coil first. That was a surprise!) Watching the electrical arcs literally dance and pulse in time with the music is mesmerizing. It turns sound into a visible, crackling light show! No, you actually both SEE and HEAR the music at the same time. Very cool! Beyond the pure fun factor, it's also a great educational piece. It's a tangible way to demonstrate concepts like wireless energy transmission and high-voltage circuits. It sparks curiosity (again, pun intended!) and makes learning about Tesla's work interactive. Honestly, this thing is just awesome. The charge on this thing zaps you. I mean you really feel it. It's a lot More powerful than the other one I bought. I don't know if they tell the wattage or whatever but this thing really arcs if you want one that you can really feel and you can really see it's not just some tiny little thing with little. You know pieces of wire at the end. It actually has high quality metal tips and this thing will zap you

Do not buy this its junk quit working 2 days after return date ran out . Wasted alot of money . And cannot get ahold of seller for replacement tried several times . I just want a tesla coil that works thats all I want I dont want my money back just send me one that works like it should for the money I spent PLEASE MAKE THIS RIGHT !!!

Very very Fun. A cool scientific activity to share with people. Size and sound is good. You can clearly hear notes and words on certain songs. Definitely worth the price! Bought as a gift to my partner. "Zippy Zappy (big smile)" was the review of the receiver.

Good quality and price, just like the ones from YouTube. My little brother absolutely adores it and it’s simple to plug in and play music with. It can get a bit loud and it will zap you a little if you put your fingers up by the electricity but doesn’t really hurt.
