Skechers for Work 76571 Blais-EBZ Hiking Shoe

I always like Skechers. I like the way they look. My foot is also on the wide side. They don't hurt my feet or make them feel "squished" like most other brands do. I now needed to buy a steel toe shoe for work. I was reading some of the other comments and it seemed to lean more to they weren't made well for a work shoe/boot. I looked at Timberland's & other highly rated shoes. I went to a Skechers store and tried these on. I fell in love immediately. They were so comfortable. They have the gel inserts & were not as heavy as I expected for a steel toe boot. I used them on the first day of a new job without breaking them in. My feet never got tired or felt uncomfortable. They are well made & look good! More than few people mentioned they looked great & inquired where I bought them. And the price won't hurt you. I bought them on Amazon for $70 when I had a $150 budget. Money well spent.

Holds my feet like gloves, so much support, arch, heel, toes. Snug, snug, snug as a bug. Keeps your feet feeling light and fresh all day, instead of worn out after a work shirt. Trust me. The snug, secure fitting can't be praised enough. The memory foam insert inside is top quality, easily a $20 pair of separates if you were to buy them. These are made well to last a long time. I unload trucks for a living, warehouse work, trust me, these come in handy. Takes a day to break in the steel toe, and get the boots 100% used to your foot. Telling you, I'd sleep in these things if I could. I've been trading boots in a out for years and years. These are worth every single damn penny. The lacing and ankle support really adds to the secure fitting of the boot, and gives you comfort and support during the day. These boots cannot be praised enough for the toughness and comfort, never quits on you. Feet feel like they've been massaged all day, instead of worn out.

This show is comfortable and your ankle does not slide out because this is a high top in comparison to the low cut version. The memory foam sole is also an added plus because it makes the shoe more comfortable and wearable all day. Because this shoe is a high top and if you are wearing low cut socks you will sweat in them which may cause the shoe to stink up. From my experience the shoe can rip off some skin from the back ankle from wearing low cut socks. There is also adhesive that may leak between the middle part of the shoe as well. I bought the low cut and it did this and I exchanged the low cut for the high top and the high top just started leaking adhesive. I do not know what is causing the leakage but it is an inconvenience which is why I gave it 4 stars. The leakage may cause water to seep into it and destroy the shoe in the future because if it is leaking outside I am sure water can also get inside the opening of the leak.

I need steel toe shoes occasionally for work. They don't need to be work boots per se (I've had plenty of steel toe sneakers). I've owned a couple of Skecher's work boots/shoes. My old pair of women's Skecher's boots are 7.5, and fit well. I am an 8 in any other shoe. When I needed new shoes, I got a Skecher's work shoe size 8. They are a half size too big. So, when ordering these, I assumed they ran a half size too big. Wrong. They seem to run as expected (but maybe a little wide). So, my bad. But the boot itself is great. Steel toe and waterproof (didn't see that when I ordered, an added bonus). I would buy these again, I'll just make sure to order 8's next time. Also, I think the ratings show them as running too small because people ordered them thinking they were men's shoes.

Very comfortable work boot

I purchased this pair of shoes at the Sketchers store. They lasted nearly a year of hard use and they held up really well. The soles had normal even wear, and the uppers, eyelets, and laces still look new with just a damp cloth wipe down. So with the original shoe's nomenclature in hand I ordered from Amazon. $61 delivered to my house. They are the exact same shoe, color and fit. Beautiful! And $20 cheaper than the Sketchers store. I will let the same amount of time pass, and then update this glowing review. Unless they completely fall apart sooner than expected, then I will use the destroyed shoes to scrape the egg off of my face! Right now, I'm thrilled with the quality!

I work in a commercial plumbing yard. On a forklift most of the time. The boots are very comfortable, and very roomy in the toe area. However; tread wears out WAY too fast (<5 months), and you only get one good 'toe saving' before the steel toe area becomes deformed making the boot painful to wear.

Got these for work and play. Very comfortable, and so far they meet expectations. I have not gotten them wet yet. We will see when it rains.

This boot fits perfectly. Last boot I ordered was too small. Should order half size larger if considering ordering these boots. They are so comfortable and sharp looking. Love them.
