Raco 6RF151SR Round Nonmetallic Drop-in Floor Box Kit, Includes Flange, Brass

This kit allows you to install a heavy duty professional electrical floor box outlet anywhere that you have access from the floor below. The first time I bought this kit I used it to run electrical under the kitchen table so we could power our devices (iwatches, iPads, iPhones). The second time I installed an outlet next to the fireplace, to power Christmas lights on the mantle. The kit includes a heavy brass cover that seals off the outlet for periods in which you don’t need it.

Purchased this to replace a broken unit in our floor. Was not sure how it woukd fit or match the existing receptacle but it was perfect. Easy to attach wiring and slid right in existing hole. Very pleased and works great.

This is one of the best floor receptacles I've installed. It comes with its own hole saw that makes installation easy. The only downside is that the screws used to attach the unit to the floor are easily broken, even predrilling the holes. I suggest having shorter ones to have as backup.

Not exactly what you would think. For the price could be Better.

We really like the convenience of additional outlets in the middle of our Living Room. These worked very well for dropping in a nice looking, small receptacle without looking like an office floor receptacle box. Of course, I did have access to under the floor in our basement. Straight forward installation with basic electrical wiring knowledge, or hire your local electrician. I do have a couple of complaints and one recommendation regarding this product. First, the brass screws are too soft. I was mounting in an old oak floor and despite pre-drilling the appropriate pilot hole, I managed to break the head off of two screws. Both on one of the two outlets I installed. That one must have been in a harder piece of oak than the other one. Same for the hole saws, which didn't get the job done on these floors. Nice bonus to have these included, but with our floors, I'm glad I had my own to supplement. Another nit is with the safety plug. I don't like safety plugs much, but understand their value, particularly in an accessible floor plug, but they have to work. I had to fight with one of these receptacles to get a plug in. Finally, a recommendation for anyone needing to plug in more than one device: typical multi-plugs will not reach deep enough into this receptacle, which sits about an inch down into the floor. I purchased a plug extender and added a low-profile multi-plug to solve the issue. See pictures.

This was perfect for the application. It's solid, well designed, and comes with its own drill bit, which sawed through six layers of floor. What more could you ask for?

Very nice brass construction, easy to install. The only brass floor outlet to installed in my wood floor worth looking at.
