This does exactly what I wanted it for. I was mostly worried about a stale background odor building up in our apartment when the windows are can’t be opened due to pollen, construction, hot weather and humidity. Strategically placed this unit keeps a bedroom and the entrance hallway smelling fresh. It is also very quiet. The Gideon does require either sacrifice of an electrical outlet or getting an outlet extender. But I bought another brand of ionizer for another room, a very small tabletop unit; it seems to be working OK too, but it makes more noise, a constant background buzz.

Received mine a few days ago and I really love how fresh the room smells when I walk in. So far so good. I really hope it keeps up the good work.

It works well and it's totally quiet.I rated it 4 stars because of the smell when you first start using it. I would plug it in and then unplug it about 2 hours later , It has an almost metallic smell. It does cover up or get rid of dog odors.

Upon reading the instruction manual, there is warning not “use near eyes”? Why would they not design a safe product to begin with? The black light should be totally enclose within the device for safety.

Can't tell if device is working. Can't feel any air movement. It has a slight vibration type noise. Info sheet, nor troubleshooting info does not give a clue as to how to tell. Will probably return it if unable to determine if it is working.

i have slight mold problem in my basement, however i also have a evil parrot infesting my house. so chemicals are not recommended! this kills mold is very quiet and doesn't require very expensive filters.

Small plug in air purifier. Made very well. Works excellent. I have several different sizes in my home and RV because I have two dogs. Never smell any pets. Air is fresh and circulated. great for odor elimination. Very low noise. This one is great for small spaces. Worth the price.
