Review: Solid and heavy build quality - Didn't install yet, but the only downside in it so far is the valve being almost immovable Edit: after trying this filter I have encountered an issue -which seems to be common- the top valve is very hard to turn or sometimes impossible like in my case, this is due to the lubrication being almost dry. The solution is to use food grade silicone based lubricant in the valve, for that you need to remove one screw at the bottom which will release the red button on top as well as the spring underneath, this will allow you to remove the grey plastic top where two screws underneath it; once that done the entire white part can come out for lubrication (be careful not to lose the gaskets) Review: Solid build. 4 stars only due to same as some others had complaint about threading issue. Mine encountered when screwing the 3/4 to 1/2 adapter on the outlet side. The adapter went in slanting. Please check your filter rating. I am using a 20 Micron Filter. The Lower the Micron # is, will effect your pressure. Buy a water pressure gauge and check your incoming water pressure and then check the pressure at the hose bib at the rear of the house. If you are using city water there should be a water pressure control valve on the incoming water line that can be adjusted to increase or decrease your water pressure. **Q: This looks like a great filter. But should come with a spare ring. Always where the filter range and what each one does and micron?** A: I'm not certain of your question(s) but will attempt to answer what I think you're asking. This is a great water filtration system, especially if you need 1" water pipe connections. The unit comes with hanger bracket and screws, filter wrench and battery for the filter-change indicator light. The unit comes with an O-ring but does not include a spare. The filters are basically 4-1/2" x 10". I use a 5-micron, polypropylene filter for sediment and rust which I've had no issues with. Also, this kit does not come with a filter. I assume with all the choices of replacement filters it would be difficult for Culligan to determine which one to include. Hopefully this helps answer your questions concerning the WH-HD200-C? **Q: What is the filtered flow rate?** A: The flow rate spec is 8 GPM. In the description. **Q: If the valve is in the 'off' or 'bypass' position can you change the filter without having water spray everywhere?** A: Bypass works by redirecting the water straight through and NOT into the filter. After rotating the blue lever to "bypass", press the red pressure relief button to remove pressure still in the canister.
