Great product!
I’ve been using the Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine for our plant-based lifestyle, and it has been an excellent addition to our kitchen. The large 3” feed chute makes it so easy to juice whole fruits and vegetables without a lot of prep work. It powers through everything quickly with the strong 800W motor, and the juice comes out fresh and smooth, perfect for adding into our plant-based smoothies. Cleanup is simple compared to other juicers I’ve tried, which makes me want to use it every day. The parts rinse off easily, and it doesn’t feel like a hassle after making a batch of juice. I also love that it’s BPA-free, which gives me peace of mind. Overall, it’s been a great investment for our daily smoothies and plant-based meals—reliable, powerful, and easy to use. Highly recommend!

Money well spent.
Does exactly what it's supposed to do, and does it very well. Considering the quality, price, and functionality... It deserves every bit of 5 stars. It is a tad loud, as others have mentioned, and it will jump a bit from the torque when you first turn it on (so hold it for 2 seconds), but otherwise it's a fantastic device. ~Juice Production: 4/5, I'm sure the slow, crushing (~$300) juicers get more, but this thing puts out a ton of juice per item. ~Quality of materials: 5/5, Yea, it's plastic, but it holds up great and is super easy to clean. Which brings me to... ~Ease of Cleaning: 5/5. Everything that gets dirty can be detached and rinses away effortlessly. The metal sifter can be gently, and effortlessly, cleaned with the included brush. If you clean it AS SOON AS YOU'RE DONE, which you're directed to do by the manual anyways, it really is pretty easy. Final Rating Thoughts: This juicer preforms way above what is expected for the cost. I'd recommend it to anyone. Other Thoughts: When I juice, I put a grocery bag (I save mine, a lot of households do) into the pulp bin to catch everything that isn't juice. This makes cleanup a LOT easier. Just unhook, scrape anything off of the lid of the juicer into the bag, and then tie and toss it (or turn into casserole, chewy bars, compost it, etc.) I toss mine currently, as I do not have a garden, and am on a juice fast. If you actually read and follow the manual, you're going to enjoy using this juicer. PUT a plastic bag in the pulp bin before use. CLEAN the machine as soon as you're done using it before everything dries on. BE gentle with the metal sifter, clean it gently with the included brush. DON'T start the machine with something already in it. Etc. Etc. Etc Other Other Thoughts: I'm doing a juice fast, nothing but fresh produce, vegetables and fruit, for as long as I can stand it. I'm 24 years old, 5'10", and started at 280 pounds. I have always been extremely unhealthy, never eaten what's important for my body, and shoveled in manufactured foods from everywhere but the fresh produce or even the meat section. I'm a normal as s*** every day guy, I work 40 a week, and play video games and study for certs in my spare time. I'm not a "hippie" or a "naturalist"... I'm a guy who in just 3 days is feeling better than he ever has and has already dropped 5 pounds. If you have ANY interest in this, check out "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead 2" on Netflix. This is the first "diet" I've ever felt good about, and the first time I've actually lost weight. Removing carbs, "going gluten free", counting calories... It's never worked for me and left me lacking any energy to exercise. That only happened the first day since juicing. My energy on day 2 was consistent all day, I went for a long walk, worked my eight hours, and woke up today feeling fantastic. Still feeling BETTER THAN EVER.

Gateway Juicer: Graduated to a Nama in 2 Weeks
This is a nice juicer to begin your juicing journey. The masticating juicers cost much more and produce more juice but if you're not sure you're ready to make a $400 or more commitment for one of those, this juicer is a good one to start with. I had just gotten back into juicing and I didn't think I wanted to buy a Nama or other expensive masticating juicer to start with. I wasn't sure if I'd really juice a lot. But it turns out, I loved it. I owned a Breville centrifugal juicer many years ago and it was messy, loud and a lot of work for a little juice and that juicer was expensive. This juicer is cheaper than my old Breville and works much, much better. So I quickly found myself juicing for myself and my husband everyday, reviewing juicing recipes on You Tube. I got crazy about fresh green juices. I love the stuff. For comparison, the juice bar near us charges $11 for a 16 green juice which we would treat ourselves to periodically. So using the juicer everyday, sometimes twice a day and reviewing recipes and such on YouTube, I quickly came across masticating juicers and the Nama juicer specifically and comparison videos, recipes etc. Long story short, it became apparent to me that I just wasn't getting enough juice out of my produce with this juicer. You can literally watch and see how little juice comes out when juicing greens. I felt like I wasting produce and money. Also, I wanted to make nut milk, which the Nama juicer does and sorbet which the Nama juicer also does. Nut milk is delicious and very infrequently, because of the cost, I treat myself to a bottle, specifically cashew milk which, when mixed with dates and vanilla, tastes like ice cream. If you do a juice cleanse through a juice shop, which I've done a few, cashew milk is the dessert. It goes for about $10-12 for a 16 oz bottle. So it's nice to a make that home. This Hamilton Beach juicer unfortunately doesn't do that. Also, sorbet is regular favorite at my house and we use a separate ice cream maker or the Ninja bullet to make it sometimes. Again, the Hamilton Beach juicers don't do that. So after two weeks and making juice 1-2 times each day for two people, about 32 oz, I figured the Nama was worth the investment for us. So we're gifting the Hamilton Beach juicer to a friend. So pros: -It makes juice, no problem. -Super easy to clean and operate which makes it more likely you will continue to use it. -It is loud, but like a vacuum cleaner. But I previously owned a Breville many years ago and it was crazy loud, Like a power saw. This juicer is quieter than the old Breville juicers. -Very affordable The cons: -If you really get into juicing and start juicing everyday or every other day, you will recognize that it takes a lot of produce to make a little juice unless you're using produce with lots of water i.e. cucumbers, oranges, celery. -This juicer will not generate a lot of juice from greens. So if you're really into green juicing either 1) get ready to buy a lot of greens to generate even a reasonable amount of juice 2) expect to add more fruits that already have a lot of water in them i.e. cucumbers, celery, pineapples in order to produce more juice overall or 3) get a masticating juicer which will produce more juice from greens -The pulp does come out pretty wet. It will be messy, but you can actually run the pulp through the juicer a second time, especially for citrus fruits, because that's how wet it comes out the juicer. -Also, one review said the juicer jumps around on the counter. That can't be accurate. The juicer is incredibly stable on the counter. It has rubber braces on the bottom, so it doesn't move at all. What does happen however is that the produce may jump or bounce around once it goes into the mouth that leads to the blades. It's not horrible but I did have pieces of fruit even and entire apple wedge jump back out of the mouth of the juicer. It's not really bad, you just have to quickly put the produce in and then follow with the stopper to put it down and keep it from coming back up, which I may have been slow in doing.

Awesome Fruit & Veggie Juicer
Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor Pros: Inexpensive - under $50 Efficient - extracted pulp is not watery Easy assemble/disassemble - for cleaning Cons: A bit loud - 90 to 100 dB Overall I’m quite pleased with this juicer’s performance. I read reviews and watched videos before deciding to purchase the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor. Juiced: Carrots, cucumbers, beets, celery, tomatoes, apples, pears, broccoli (not recommended - too over powering taste), peaches, plums, and grapes. Looking forward to trying ginger root and other fruits and veggies. Have not tried squishy fruit (bananas) or leafy items (kale). The juicing process literally takes seconds once your fruit/veg selection is washed. Be sure to stir the juice before removing the “head” (foamy top). Most of that mixes quite well and doesn’t taste any different. For best results use a veggie bag for the waste bin for easy clean-up. If you refrigerate the bag of pulp, you can reuse it 3-4 times before throwing it away or adding it to your compost pile. Likewise, for best results clean all removable parts as soon as you’re done juicing. The plunger, top lid and strainer outer sleeve clean easily with running water. The strainer is just a tad more intense. Use the included brush to FIRST gently scrub the strainer’s outer mesh under running water, then rinse the inside, then gently scrub the inside and rinse again. The entire cleaning process takes less than 5 minutes. Some folks recommend soaking items in water if you cannot clean them until later - I agree. As for the sound - it’s pretty darn loud. 90 decibels just to start the machine and up to 100 dB depending on what hard fruit/veg you are juicing. However, like I mentioned earlier - juicing takes under a minute. What? What did you say??? Refrigerator Humming - 40 dB Vacuum Cleaner - 70 dB Garbage Disposal - 80 dB HB Juicer - 90 dB Chain Saw - 110 dB Jet Engine - 140 dB Godzilla screaming after stubbing toe - 260 dB

Great for weight loss and a beginner juicer!
This is a great juicer for a beginner! I wasn't sure if I'd really stick to juicing, so I wasn't interested in spending $300 on one! I'm sure those models are great, but I wasn't ready for that kind of commitment! :) Anywho...I got this one after reading the reviews, and it is great! A little loud, but it's only on for a few minutes at a time while your making juice, so it's not a big deal. I love the wide mouth on this thing. A juicer I've used before (can't remember the brand) had a really narrow mouth, and you had to cut the fruits into little pieces to fit them in. Total pain. Plus it just added to the time it took to prep the ingredients. Since you could drive a small vehicle through the mouth of this bad boy, the prep time is minimal. If you're buying this because you watched a documentary on Netflix like I did, then you won't be disappointed. I've always eaten a lot of veggies, but I slack on getting fruit into my diet. I don't like sweet things that much, so I've always preferred broccoli to an apple. I'm weird like that! Even though I eat a bunch of veggies in my regular diet, I know I wasn't getting enough in to give me all of the nutrients that I needed. Juicing has totally changed my diet and added in a LOT of fresh produce that I wouldn't normally consume in that kind of quantity on any given day. I'm not one of those crazies that went on a juicing cleanse for a month, only drinking juice for food, and living like a thirsty rabbit. That's not my kind of thing. Instead, I simply added in ONE juice a day to my morning routine. Now for breakfast I have a fresh juice, two egg cups (eggs and veggies cooked in a muffin tin), and a cup of coffee. I've been doing this for about 3 1/2 weeks, and I've lost over 10 lbs! I really haven't changed anything else. Just adding a juice. Now I do live a pretty healthy lifestyle in that I avoid processed food, eat an overall balanced diet, and try to get in 4+ workouts a week, but I was doing all of that for several years BEFORE I started juicing, and yet just adding a juice a day has made a huge impact on my weight! Also, I've been in an obnoxiously good mood since I started, I have more energy, and my skin looks awesome! I cannot rave about the benefits of juicing enough! I've tried several juices that are great, but my favorite is the green juice. So good! And full of fruits and veggies so it's not all sugar! 1 cucumber 4 stalks of celery 3+ handfuls of spinach or kale (whatever you have handy) 2 apples 1/2 of a lime or lemon (with the rind) This makes a good 32 oz of juice...yeah, that much. It's a lot of juice. You can add other things like carrots, or extra apples if you want it sweeter, or kiwis, or strawberries, or ginger, etc. It's a very versatile recipe. I find that I end up adding in extra stuff towards the end of the week so I can use it before it spoils. My last juice of the week is usually a hodge podge of random produce that I have in my fridge just waiting to be pulverized and drank! My only complaint about this juicer is that the juice catcher isn't quite big enough for my green juice, so I have to use a bigger container under the spout. Also, if it's available in your area, buy your produce at Aldi or any number of other low cost grocery stores. My juicing ingredients for 7 days only costs me about $35, which is totally worth it. OR pick your juice recipes based on the produce that's in them. There are recipes all over the internet for juicers, but some call for expensive ingredients, whereas you can find many that use cheaper things like cucumber, carrots, celery, apples, etc. Or just buy your produce on sale and make your juices up as you go along. I haven't had one yet that tastes bad. Good luck!!!

Gets the job done
Gets the job done. Nothing fancy, motor is loud but juices fine. I’ve mainly just juiced ginger so I can’t speak to how it juices harder raw fruits and vegetables. Fairly easy to clean.

Amazing!
This thing is amazing for the price! I did a LOT of research before purchasing this one, and I was a little skeptical. A lot of juicers have similar reviews, such as: pulp in juice, pulp is moist, metal shavings in juice, smell of a burning motor. I'll tell you my thoughts on all this, keep in mind, I am a novice juicer, have only used this juicer, and have only used this thing three times (granted I'm juicing for two weeks worth of juice at a time, so about 30 min or so use at a time, so good experience with it). Pulp in juice: yes, pulp gets in the juice. What I have noticed is there is a VAST amount of pulp if you let it build up near the top where it is thrown out. Simply shake the juicer a bit and maybe knock where it's stuck to get it to fall into the trash container. Doing this significantly reduced the pulp in the juice. Pulp is moist: yes, it's a bit moist. I don't feel as if I could squeeze juice out of it though. It's definitely not wet, and while I have limited juicing experience, I've read reviews of a $500 juicer doing the same thing. It's not that much of a waste. Metal shavings in juice: I have not experienced this and I can almost guarantee people are experiencing this because they don't read directions. Directions say to make sure the strainer is pushed down and locked into place. I've seen pictures where it clearly looks like people have not done that. Smell of burning motor: I have experienced this, but only because I pushed the motor too hard, one time, in the beginning. It's not the most powerful motor out there, but with a little common sense (back off pressing down on the product and let the motor spool back up) it works just fine, even with beets. To add, clean up is a lot of work and can be time consuming? It's not a big deal if you don't do it often. I make two weeks worth of juice at a time, and including clean up, it takes 45 min to 1.5 hours, depending on my workflow. Hope this helps!
