When you pull a plastic strip out the battery is activated, and in order for it to stop you need to remove the back cover ( very easy) and remove the battery. The old version was harder and the tail doesn't move** A: I have the old version - harder kitty & the tail doesn't move until I move it which has a wire inside it. I don't know what the newer one looks like! **Q: Do I have to cut out the patch of "fur" covering her battery in order to inset one?** A: No you don’t need to cut the fur. Move it aside and you can pull the battery cover off to replace the battery. **Q: Received ours today, not very happy with it and it is not breathing, sheds awful. doa. we removed the red tag, any suggestions for it to breath?** A: I returned mine a long time ago. I don't think it is supposed to breathe. Is it advertised as breathing ? Mine didn't shed though. I had hoped it would be soft.
