What’s the difference between the next gen and original

NextGen is the latest version and replaced the Original in late 2016. It feature a wider bite pad, improved moldability.

Does this work well with braces and has anyone used for wrestling?

I had braces at one point but did not use this mouthguard at the time. Sisu says they would work well for braces but would have to be fit by the orthodontist, I imagine there's a special process for that as the way you fit it at home, seems like it wouldn't be great for Braces at all, as the mouthguard squeezes pretty tight after being fit. However I do imagine the mouthpiece would be good for wrestling, I use mine for Boxing and Jiu-jitsu

How well would these hold up from 1.89joules of impact from an airsoft gun?

Perfect for BJJ

Fits really well and I've been using it for BJJ. You can talk alright after wearing it and it does not restrict your breathing. I haven't been hit in the face yet so can't really comment on whether it would hold up. Perfect balance for BJJ though!
