It is not meant for long term water storage. I have 100 gallon high grade food grade water containers with a metal grid for stability which I store water in for long term use, but after 3 months I will use it on my garden & refill it to be sure it is fresh & viable. Checking in case I need to purchase more than 1 for this business Hurricane season.** A: The waterBOB is intended to be a one time use for liability reasons. The product is durable enough to be re-used, however there is risk associated with not properly drying out the bladder after use. If someone was to attempt to re-use a waterBOB and followed these instructions, potential risk will be minimized. 1. Empty bladder completely. 2. Replace fill caps loosely. 3. Dry bladder completely. 4. Fold bladder back up, tighten fill caps and place in extra large (2 gallon) Ziploc, seal tightly 5. Store in climate controlled environment. 6. When ready to use again, fill and treat water (with product like "Potable Aqua Water Treatment Tablets") prior to consuming. 7. To be safe, use test kit to determine water is safe for consumption.This would allow the product to be re-used, however I'm not sure if this makes more sense economically than purchasing a new waterBOB, you will need to make that determination. **Q: If, in an emergency, you lose your water supply (it happened to me after an earthquake once) what good is this product?** A: In many emergencies, including earthquakes , you will have some time before you lose water pressure, depending on your distance and water level to the city water tank. Da es so ist, dass sich schon nach einem halben Tag Staubpartikel ansammeln auf der Wasseroberfläche, würde man das Wasser frei in der Badewanne lassen, gibt's eine gute Voraussicht auf Wasser, das geschützt bleibt vor Staub und anderen Sachen. Zum Plastiksack, der so gross ist wie die Badewanne, gibt's alles, was man weiter braucht: Ein Schlauch, mit dem man das Wasser ab Wasserhahn in den Sack leitet, und eine Vorrichting, die das Abzapfen des Wassers ermöglicht.
