Should it be oiled or weather treated?

I would DEFINITELY seal (weather treat) this bed BEFORE using it. Even untreated decent wood should make it an entire season without obvious signs of rot or warping - but it won't last nearly as long as if it's treated. Treat the outside and inside and then staple plastic sheeting to the inside to keep the chemical in the sealer out of your soil. Also add a few drain hole to the bottom of the plastic.

How many plants or rows could you put in it?

Hi Billy. I have 3 of these raised beds. Love them and will get more. Right now we have 2 that have 8 milkweed plants in each (We raise monarch butterflies). The bed could probably accommodate a couple more plants. We have also grown Romaine and Bibb lettuce with a couple rows of scallions or green onions. We crowded the lettuce a bit (10 or so plants) because we like to cut it young and tender. (If you cut it 2+ inches above the soil line, it will come out again!) Another hint: Use light soil or add perlite and it really helps to add a few screws to hold the bottom side boards.

What are the exact interior dimensions of the planting box? (I see 8.6 deep, and I'm guessing 46.5 x 22.5 outer box less 0.75 panel on each side?)

We love them!

Wonderful raised garden bed! I coated mine in mineral oil to hopefully help protect from any future rot. The garden beds so come with liners, which is wonderful! These are very sturdy, easy to put together and looks amazing! We are so happy to have added these two garden beds to our yard!
