Fits Perfectly!
Fits perfectly in my Rangaire Range Hood that uses series 43000 aluminium filter (size of aluminum filter is 11 3/8" x 11 3/4"). The carbon filters that can be purchased to go with it fit behind the aluminum filter and are smaller because the aluminum filter is a Light-Filter, meaning the white part fits over the electric light. Both worked perfectly. It took some maneuvering to get the filter back in since the filter covers the area completely and my Rangaire Hood has 4 little flaps or catches (2 per side) for the filter to lay on. To get the filter with the carbon backing in place, back in the hood, this is what I did: 1- In the range hood, put the left side of the filter in as high as you can and the back-right side above the little back clip/catchers that comes out from the hood to hold the filter. 2 - Let the filter rest on all three catches (2 on left and one on back right. 3 - Let the filter go. It will be lopsided. 4 - Take a hand-held bottle/can opener in your hand. Using the bottle-opener side of it, push the right front side of the filter over to the left side and push up so that the right front side of the filter can now rests on the catcher/clip.

tight fit
It is really inexpensive and cleaned up the kitchen on the house I am selling. The aluminum is very thin, so it bends easily. This is good and bad. Once bent, it remains in that shape. I have to assume that all the competing products are similar in this regard. It does not come with extra carbon filters, only one. Part of the description states that there are extras. Nope.

Works with my generic Nutone hood, good quality, lower price than Home depot
It fits perfectly into my basic Nutone hood. I still recommend measuring the size of your old one and making sure it's close to the same size. What I like most: 1. Cheaper than Home Depot, and then, Home Depot would have to order. (I don't know why Home Depot doesn't just stock them) 2. Cheap price, easy to replace, so I don't have to TRY to clean. (I tried every way possible to clean the old one, because I thought they were "cleanable".....did all the internet tricks. You CAN'T clean them.......just buy a new one and a spare at this price. 3. It was welled pack and shipped superfast 4. The quality was exactly the same as what came in the hood originally (these are not rigid, that doesn't not mean they are inferior. The quality is just fine, once installs it does a good job.)

Perfect replacement.
I like this because it fits the hood range that I have and it makes such a difference because my old one was so dirty had no problem finding the one that I needed to and it has been an excellent replacement.

I've got an older range hood and the previous filter was beyond saving. I couldn't find the part anywhere, but stumbled across this. The measurements matched so I took a chance and it paid off. Fits perfectly and have noticed a difference in terms of the filter actually capturing some of the aromas as opposed to them lingering.

I have a Rangaire H520-300 range hood which is possibly 10-20+ years old. I used the measurements off an old filter and took a chance on this replacement - it fits perfectly. Fast shipping, brand new condition. Would buy again.
