Well I am here to tell you it must be where they are purchasing them from. I received a this product with a Pentax Digital SLR bundle I purchased from Ace Photo Digital well over a year ago and they are still going strong. Wanted to have a second set as a backup (I dislike trying to recycle old single use batteries) so I can charge one set and have another to use the camera with during the charging. I hessitated after reading the bad reviews but then I saw that one of the vendors for them was Ace Photo Digital. Well, needless to say it must be where they are purchased from. I recieved them 2 days ago and they work excellently. No problems charging or using this fine product. Of course the vendor I purchased from was not the lowest priced set (I believe they were second lowest, with free shipping no less). If you are looking to purchase these and are wary of the quality then look for them to be sold by Ace Photo Digital and buy those, You will not be disappointed. [Less than one half the Rated Capacity!]The 4 RU2 NiMH batteries ranged from a low of 1204ma, 1228ma, 1360ma, & 1372ma Averaging 1291ma Following IEC standards in determining battery capacity on a POWEREX MH-C9000 Wizardne Charger-Analyzer. This is terrible for a So Called 3,000ma "AA" rated battery.The Weight is Sub-Standard for this So Called "3000ma NiMH Battery" @ 23Grams each.Top Quality Sanyo or other 2900-3100ma NiMh weigh in at 30Grams each.The varience of capacity is beyond the 10% standard of matched cells.These batteries [Plus other Ziekos Labled NiMH batteries] are of very low quality, weight, have a high failure rate, and actually test less than half the rated capacity.The weakest battery in series determines the longevity, and maximum available current available.
