This is a very nice little card, that installed easily and was supported by Windows 11 by in-box drivers. My 10Gb fiber connects to a router that takes with a 2Gb Internet connection. I was able to max this connection out with ease (2.2Gb up and down). I've been using the card for almost a week, and so far perfectly stable. So... definitely recommended. But NOTE: If you want in-box Win11 driver support, you want the version of this card with the Broadcom BCM57810S Chipset.

After much frustration with the Intel based chipset, I returned it and got the broadcom chipset for Proxmox. The broadcom one works great right out of the box, with no modifications to the install needed. The Intel one crashed constantly

Card works as expected on an ipfire Linux server. Works with 10g SPF+ and is also backwards compatible with 1.25g SPF and 1000base-t modules. **Jan 2024 Update** Original NIC is still running strong on IP Fire. I purchased several more of these to add 10Gb fiber to a few other linux servers. These work flawless on Proxmox 7 & 8 (debian) and iperf3 tests shows a consistant "1.09 GBytes/sec 9.35 Gbits/sec" of throughput.

The PCIe specification requires cards to function in a reduced capacity when they are installed into a slot with fewer lanes available than they expect. Even though x4 lanes allocated to the slot is more than enough bandwidth this card demands x8 and will not initialize with less, giving only cryptic errors that don’t actually point to the issue. This cost me more time and effort to resolve than the card cost up front. Do not recommend this card unless the manufacturer corrects this issue.

Windows 11 is able to recognize this NIC card. No need to do anything else.
