I drilled out about thirty 3/16 inch aluminum rivets and replaced the with 1/4 inch aluminum rivets and it did a great job. **Q: Where is this made?** A: Where everything else is made, for US consumption. China, land of manufacturing. Imagine that? **Q: how thick metals can you rivet? I want to rivet 1/4" metal to reinforce the flood of a vw floor pand for seats and seat belts. I donot have a welder.** A: You are only limited by the length of the rivets that are available to you. I riveted some 1/8th angle to the frame on my golf cart for my battery box with 1/4 inch stainless steel rivets with no problem at all. You shouldn't have any problem reinforcing your floor pan. **Q: Are the handles supposed to be out of line with each other?** A: They just look like that.
