The thermometer seems to be accurate. Some buyers complained about the string in previous reviews, but the item I received seems to have a strong nylon string.

Very SMALL numbers! Hard to read!
I should have listened to the other reviews saying the numbers on this are very hard to read. It is certainly does not have a "Large Temperature Display" as indicated in the description. It is also NOT RETURNABLE. (it does say that in the description) However, Amazon was great and refunded our money. So, unless you can see fine print, this isn't something you want.
