Is it made in the USA

The box does not have any indication of where it is made. It only says "Distributed by Procter & Gamble" with an address within the USA. I looked on Google and it says Crest products are made in North Carolina. This particular Crest toothpaste is about the only pure gel type I can find.

Does this have the crystal grit (like sandpaper) in it that actually helps scrub the teeth?

I certainly don't feel any grit. Actually more gel-like. I prefer because I like the texture and the taste. Have used it for decades.
