Fantastic home printer despite initial outlay
Bought to replace an aging Epson Inkjet printer for home use. We home educate so our printers get fairly heavy use for both colour A4 and photo printing. First - the obvious downside. Itโs expensive whichever way you look at it. You could get several standard cartridge inkjet printers for the price of this. Any savings you will make from having an ink tank will be realised over the course of several years after the initial outlay. Secondly, itโs not entirely straightforward to set up. The app you have to download for it walks you through the process but it still takes at least an hour to fully put the thing together, and then you need to get it talking to your computers. We live in a Mac/PC/iPhone household and it did take a while to set it up on each system. Iโm fairly confident with technology but it still felt like a bit of a chore. Now, the positives. The print quality blows any home printer Iโve had before out of the water. Photo printing is indistinguishable (to my eye) from what youโd get commercially. Standard printing on paper is quick and clear. Using the manual feed paper tray at the rear of the printer we have managed to print directly onto thick card stock which has come out perfectly. Once set up, the connection is stable and consistent. Not a single โunable to locate printerโ error and due to its AirPrint capabilities iOS devices on the same network recognise it without needing to download the app. Having spent years with the choice of either paying through the nose for genuine printer cartridges or getting cheap generic ones that only work half the time, having the ink tank system seems to be the way forwards. Despite fairly heavy use weโve barely got through any of the ink that it comes with, and replacements ink, both genuine and generic, is reasonably priced. As there is no security system like the chips you get in cartridges you wonโt be penalised for using generic ink. The printerโs other features all seem to work well. The LED touchscreen is brightly lit and functional. Thereโs a button on it which can give you tutorials on pretty much all of the printerโs functions. You can load several types of media at once (we have A4 paper, glossy photos and use the rear feed for card stock or A4 photos). The scanner works well with various devices. All in all, Iโm very happy with it despite the initial outlay

Excellent
I love this machine. It has everything that I want from a colour printer. The fact that the ink lasts so long is fantastic and having used this for printing out all of my Christmas cards I can say that the level has hardly moved. The filling of the ink was something I was concerned about having filled from bottles before on an older machine but I need not have worried as it is so easy to do and no spillage is possible. I had to try out different papers to find ones that were suitable for printing double sided for my cards but well worth it in the end as the quality of the printing is perfect. The colours are bright and no bleeding and this is far superior to my last Epson printer. Although initially the price is a lot more than I wanted to pay, but taking into consideration how long the inks lasts, the quality of the printing I definitely recommend this printer. Also I got it at a discount deal and even on an Amazon pay over 12 months free credit so perfect. The set up to my wifi went without any problems and having automatic double sided printing, the bottom photo tray and also the rear feeder tray is great. Being able to scan and copy is a bonus. Definitely recommend this printer.

Excellent printer
My excellent Canon Pixma printer died and on principle I wanted to get an ink tank printer to avoid cartridges. The problem was that it seems most of the ink tank printers are far more expensive upfront (cheaper in long run) and sacrifice useful feature or print quality to fit these in (Canon take note!). This Epsom is one of the most expensive, but doesnโt sacrifice on features that I needed (it is also a Which Best Buy for good reason). So I took the plunge as I could spread the cost out over 12 months with Amazon. So far I am very pleased! This printer was easy to install via the phone app - this is the recommended way and gives clear interactive instructions. Ink tank filling is mess free. After install was completed (~10mins), the PC found it immediately over Wifi. We were printing within 15 minutes. The most important thing for me is print quality and speed. The quality of photos is excellent on photo paper. The difference to professionally printed photos I canโt find. The quality of documents on plain paper is good, especially given the high speed with which they are printed! The small criticism is that on plain paper this printer could go less heavy on the ink. In particular any absorbent paper will likely see some ink bleed (so consider what you print on). But for home use overall it is excellent. I canโt yet comment fully on the longevity claims of the ink tanks. But they remain around the full level, despite some high initial use. So looks promising. In terms of other featuresโฆ Scan / copy quality is great. The printers footprint is surprisingly small (smaller than my Canon). It has 2 paper trays for A4 size and photo paper, 1 CD tray and a rear tray. The touch screen is big and easy to navigate. It has a maintenance tank to collect excess ink rather than leave the printer full of ink from head cleaning (like my Canon). The printer even has its own email address to send it documents to print. Then there is the mobile phone Appโฆ this is great also. Easy to use and print from. This also enables some creativity (template ideas etc). The PC software is less refined, but provides the same functionality. Some of the creative functionality is also available on the printer touch screen. So although this is still on the expensive side I think well worth it. It is high spec and you pay for what you get. Time will tell if it lives as long as my Canon and represents better value. No printer is perfect, but this one gets pretty close!

Neat, smart, works and prints well
The printer is a good size, slightly smaller than stated in the description. Easy and straightforward to set up, using the app. Cartridge refills are expensive, though each refill should last a considerable while for home use. The refill bottles seem easy to fill, and I like that you can see the ink levels at the front in an easy view screen. The front touch screen is quite intuitive to use. Very quiet running, quick to use, no cranking and grinding noises like those made by my previous printer. I chose this printer due to it being a Which Magazine best buy, along with many good reviews. Itโs smart, and neat looking, and works well. The paper tray is easy to use, and holds plenty of sheets ready for printing. Scanning and copying are also easy and straightforward to do. We did have a slight problem at one stage with paper refusing to print, but managed to solve it quite easily. On the downside, this item is expensive though hopefully will last a while. You need to be able to learn and understand various settings when statements are displayed on screen. Also, there was so much plastic packaging within the cardboard box, most of it totally unnecessary and it would be great to reduce some of it.

Prints lovely first 10 photos (home printer so across 2 weeks) then cannot print any more
My old EPSON colour stylus printer, printed lovely pictures for years and years but now needs a new print head and the cartridge ink is costly so I decided to buy this very expensive replacement. I bought this to print my family photos with 6 inks. Prints lovely first 10 or so photos (home printer so printed across 2 weeks) then cannot print any more as it crushes the EPSON photo paper up, jamming the back rollers and you get a report that itโs out of paper! It isnโt, itโs just jammed itself up. Constant clearing the jam and double checking the photo paper is loaded correctly, the correct size as shown and the correct tray etc etc, but it continues to jam up. I spoke to Epson support but nothing they suggested helped, I had to accept this was a faulty machine and I sent it back for refund, which I got. I reordered the same machine, this time with ยฃ100 off and once again it happily printed some photos, then for no reason what so ever, jammed the photo paper up in the back rollers again every time I asked it to print. The rollers seem incapable of feeding the photo paper through, although it happily feeds it thru for a while when you first get it and prints 10 or so. That one reluctantly has gone back for refund as well, Iโm cross about that, this was the printer I wanted and EPSON let me down, there is something wrong with the back rollers. I dont have a printer now and Iโam toying with the idea of having my old EPSON repaired, they just arenโt making them correctly anymore Be aware

Easy set up, easy to use, top quality printing
Being an expensive purchase, I read many reviews before purchasing this product so here is mine! First of all, the set up.. I don't have a laptop so did it all on my mobile phone (Android). I downloaded the app & connected to the WiFi then followed the instructions seamlessly. Having never set up a printer before, I was surprised how quick & easy it was & sadly I quite enjoyed the ink part! Secondly, operating the printer solely from my phone, printing is so easy. I can locate the file on my phone quickly & apply the settings that I need within seconds. I've not had a printer for a long time so to me this is fast! I don't print any large qualities so can't comment on that but I print designs that are transferred onto tshirts (pictured) & am I blown away by the sharpness of the images and the vividness of the colours. I am waiting to see how long the ink lasts as the eco tank claims it can be up to 2 years, I hope to remember to come back & update once I run out as this does make a huge difference to the value for money of the printer! I also got the chance to try out the scanner when I urgently to hand sign a document for work & again, it took me about a minute to work out what I was doing & within 5 minutes the document was back in an email & on it's way. I have no regrets about buying this printer despite the hefty price tag, it looks great, takes up a fair bit of space but is relatively quiet. I think a cheaper option could have also fulfilled my requirements but if the ink longevity lives up to it's claims then financially it will make sense & also saves the faff of having to regularly replace ink cartridges so a win win all round.

Excellent Printer
This printer arrived super quickly and is very well packaged. You need to be careful and remove all the pieces of blue tape that are attached to it to ensure safe transit. You can set it up manually or by using the Epson smart panel app. I found it much easier to set it up manually and to follow the LCD screen instructions. It all took about 30 minutes but it was quite simple and straightforward to achieve. It is child's play to fill up the ink tanks and there is no mess or spillage. I connected it to my WiFi network using the LCD screen with no problems. I also connected it by usb cable to windows 11 computer. It was picked up immediately by Windows 11 but I still inserted the included cd and loaded the software and drivers that came with it. If you don't have a cd drive in your computer you can download the software from the Epson website site. During the installation I unticked anything that let Epson collect information. I have printed a range of items from A4 photographs on glossy photo paper, web pages on plain paper, documents etc etc and the quality is fabulous. I also print a lot on cd/dvd and that is great too and so easy to do. I have owned a range of printers over the years and this is replacing an Epson xp-760. I also still have an Epson r300 which has served me well for over fifteen years. Out of all the printers I have owned this is by far the quietest and it's pretty speedy too. I am very impressed with it and I hope it will give me years of service.

Worst user interface in living history - and multiple faults
Photo tray does not work. Only way to print photos is via the rear tray. Latest problem: Rear tray must be manually selected each time - which is cumbersome. Do not buy this printer.
