What is the dimensions of the storage bag? I need to know how many needed to fill a 8x5 foot pool.

Im not sure but you will definitely need at least two 1000 count bags to fill an 8 by 5 pool. I have the large trendbox and one 1000 count bag fills it half way up. I believe it's 5 foot in diameter so you will definitely need more.

I need to fill my 17-year-old’s car for her 18th birthday. How many bags of balls will I need?

Each bag of 1,000 balls is about 5.3 cubic feet of balls. A full size car is about 120 cubic feet of internal passenger and storage volume. So to fill a full size car including its trunk up past the top of the windows you’ll need 27,000 balls, or 27 of these 1,000 ball bags. The average full size trunk is about 15 cubic feet, so you can buy 24 bags of 1,000 balls if you don’t want to fill the trunk.

You can search for the volume of a specific car with, for instance, “volume Honda civic” - where you’ll see this compact car is about 99 cubic feet with 15 cubic feet of cargo space, so you only need 84 cubic feet. At 5.3 cubic feet per 1,000 ball bag you’ll need 16 bags.  If the civic is old enough, the balls will cost more than the car. 🤣

CPSC rarely checked on Ball pit Balls because what could go wrong with balls?  However, our My Balls by CMS brand of balls do past all CPSC's ASTM certifications, and our Jumbo 3" balls even past the State of California Commercial Usage Fire Certification.  Please keep in mind, when buying Ball Pit Balls, the Size do Matters, as out Jumbo 3" balls are almost 2.3 time the size by volume, therefore, 450 of our Jumbo 3" balls will equal to 1000 of these puny size balls.
