Essential addition to any electronics workbench. Highly recommend!

Cheap but good for testing. Wouldn’t use as a permanent part replacement. Esr is good and close in value just don’t know how long they will last.

Retired EE here, playing with a few new designs for fun. Axial leaded parts are MUCH easier to maintain and locate when needed due to this brand's "Kit" format. Other kits I've bought have components trapped between 2 glued paper tapes, thus leaving 'gunk' on the ends which have to be cleaned or cut off before using. THIS kit has components with Clean ends, ready for use (especially in plug/prototyping boards). Also little bins for each value make it FAR easier to find needed values than Other kits which provide slippery mini-ziploc bags - difficult to sort through to find the needed value; difficult to put each value back where it belongs. THESE separate little locking compartments for each value is The Way To Go! VERY happy with this brand. I am now buying resistors, diodes and capacitors from them due to how much easier it is to find, use, and maintain each value when and where I need it due to this brand's clever method of separating different values of components!

Nice assortment and quantity of electrolytic capacitors for the money. The storage case is a bonus. For general purpose use, they will work fine. Compared to other assortment kits I bought, these caps are physically smaller than others, if you are cramped for space on your PCB. As an EE, they have mediocre specs. I tested about 30-40 caps various values. The ESR values are not great across the board, resembling that of caps that have been in use or are older (these are brand new) or are the ones that didn't test better from a batch from the factory. I also don't know if I'd trust them for very high frequency use either. Also, caps that are physically smaller, may also have a shorter lifespan due to less materials in the overall construction of the caps. That is to be determined with time and longevity of the materials used to make them.

Great storage system with a wide variety of capacitors. This kit is perfect for a quick restock of basic values and the slim easy to access book-like case is a great way to keep them organized and readily accessible. All at a good price.

I'm sure all the components are good, they all look new and I'm sure not going to test every single one of them because I don't need to. Why not? Because I bought every kit this company sells purely for the awesomely labeled, color coded, organizers they come in. They even display other information besides uF, like physical size and voltage rating. The color coding on this and other kits this company sells contains tons of information like diode types that will save me a ton of time. Like their diode kits for example, they even list diode types with their voltage drops. Not only do these containers make finding the right components easier and faster, but they also save me time from having to look up data sheets a lot of the time to find a correct component for a project. I already own every one of these components from all their kits purchased long ago, so when I run out of anything, I'll just refill them and reuse the organizers. I don't know why no one has thought of making these before. I spent a LOT of time researching the best way I can organize and later easily find a part amongst hundreds of electronics components. I came up with the best solution I could at the time, but boy do I wish these were around when I started this hobby. I would have bought these without the components, they're fantastic. So I guess I don't have to tell you whether or not you should buy this product or any of the other kits from 5E. I hope they expand on this component organizer idea and release some bigger and more heavy-duty organizers because I would buy all of them. I would solely recommend 5E component kits to newcomers to the hobby because you want to be spending time assembling and soldering your circuit instead of sitting in front of a pile of resistrors and caps and a multimeter to find what you need.

After dealing with other packages where ALL the components are scattered throughout the entire container because there's poor separation between each value of components, this packaging alone has led to me liking this company. The capacitors work fine, too.
