Great for Trees… Just Not Lawn Mowers
These tree watering bags are of great quality and very easy to fill. The material is thick and feels durable, and they worked perfectly for slowly watering my newly planted apple and peach trees. They provided consistent moisture right where the trees needed it. Unfortunately, they didn’t survive my husband accidentally running over them with the riding lawn mower—lesson learned! Even so, I was impressed enough that I plan to purchase more.

Tree Watering dags. Good product
Work well. Had a very dry summer. 2 or 3 year old trees were water stressed. Easy to use and work well. Slow water seepage

Works good, just watch for leaks.
Overall the item is as describes. The bags fit funky on smaller trees but we like they go around the trunk because we live in a windy area and feared the other types would blow away when empty. They do empty quicker than we anticipated but our trees are doing wonderful we fill them once to twice a week and we are in the desert and our trees are looking great. My only complaint is one of our bags has already busted and we purchased them two months ago. Hoping for how much they are they would last longer and hoping this was just a defective one of the bunch.

These bags work!
Good bags. They are well made with a thick sturdy zipper. There is an opening at the top to fill water. The opening doesn't seal so you do need to zip the bag all the way up to keep the bag standing upright. If zipped 1/2-way, the bag can "flop" over and the water will spill out. Zippers come completely apart so that you can zip 2 or 3 bags together for larger sized tree trunks. Instructions say the bag will empty in 5-24 hours and I found that this was pretty accurate. I used on newly planted saplings (I probably should have bought something smaller) so I only filled partially due to the weight of the bag needing to be supported by the tree. After about 24 hours only a small amount of the water remained. The ground was wet underneath the bags around the base of the tree. Very happy with the quality and construction of the bag. It functioned well to keep my new trees hydrated. These bags were average for price but since they actually work as advertised I still feel it is a good value for the price.

Inconsistent flawed design
This comes with three bags. Each bag worked differently. One seemed to work very well and lasted several days, one emptied within 12 hours and one wouldn't empty at all. The idea is great but even with adjusting moving them around and trying over and over again they still work the same way. The one that wouldn't empty I put holes in so that it would empty and then it also would empty itself within 12 hours. It's better than watering every day and helped when I needed to go out of town for a few days but wasn't reliable in the heat of summer when it's over 100° for weeks on end. They should all be made consistently and work the same at least closer than how these worked for me.

Great product. Saved my trees.
These work great. Def worth the price to save my tress. Would order again. Heavy product. Well built. Easy to fill slow drip as advertised.

Working well.
Bought this for a tree on the parking strip outside my house that always gets really dry and ratty looking in the summer. Hoping that more consistent watering will help. Takes three bags to circle the tree loosely. Once or twice a week I fill all the bags full. Takes maybe a day and a half to drain mostly. There's always a little water left inside because the bags don't sit perfectly upright, but it has been doing a good job of slowly watering the tree, and it seems to look better this year so far. Been in use for a couple of months with no issues.

Generally do the job, but might need additional holes poked
These are cheaper than some of the fancy ones that I have, but all of them, regardless of how thick they are or how convenient the opening is (these ones are simple slits, so you might get some splash back from the hose) all of them occasionally have an off day, where they simply don’t leak like they are supposed to, and I go out the next day and they are still full. Sometimes just a good wiggle takes care of that, but I also sometimes get fed up and use a paring knife to poke another hole somewhere. That said, I think these are a great value for the money, because even if they aren’t always perfectly well behaved, they are far, far more efficient than just using a hose or a watering can.
