This is a very sturdy, well-built piece of equipment. Even folded it is still around 4 1/2 ft long, and it weighs 29 pounds so be prepared. I replaced the casters with better quality wheels, for easier, quiet gliding, though it came with basic ones that might have worked. It can replace a boom operator if the subject is not moving significantly (like turning or walking). So on some sets it might replace an operator. It also requires a smooth floor if you are going to move it, during a shot. Overall I am pleased with the quality of the boom stand.

Needed something to hold my MX-1 mic with a sound screen. This mic handles it all and still takes a bit to move it. Perfect for the job.

First of all all of the parts are made of metal and they are powder coated black which adds a very nice professional appearance to the overall setup! This kit obviously comes with the boom stand, desktop or table clamp, and XLR cable and some Velcro straps!This stand holds up very nicely regardless of the weight of the microphone as it has very good weight resistance and durability! Also this product sets up very quickly and is super easy to assemble!Unlike a lot of other similar boom stands that I've seen this particular boom stand has a very good wide range of motion and regardless of what position you place the boom stand arm in it definitely holds the mic up perfectly!If you refer to my attached photos you will see exactly what comes in the package and how nicely it holds up a microphone! Also I have to say that this product is very reasonably priced on Amazon considering all of the features and benefits of this particular product!Therefore, based on my review I am rating this product five stars because it truly is an excellent Mike boom stand!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This unit is well built and works well. I did swap the wheels, but that was a personal thing. I will replace other units with more of these.
