My new standard
Starting with the unboxing/packaging. As usual a nice hard sided case that included 2 batteries. Big benefit for me for heavy travel and when out on multi-dive days. Appearance - Nice machined aluminum. Chose red as that is a goto color for me on dive accessories. It just looks smart. Fits well in hand. This is important to me when diving from a boat as I like to keep it in my BCD pocket until I'm into the dive and ready to use. I have/have had a lot of torches - SeaLife, Light in Motion, Fenix, Deep Blue, etc. I must say this seems the most substantial. RE Function - I prefer something simple to operate - This one does exactly that. # brightness levels bright (VERY BRIGHT) to low. On/off button doubles as a battery life indicator. Cost on par with my usuals - and 2 batteries!. Bottom line this is a great lamp. Buy it. Its worth every penny.

EXCELLENT Light for diving! Pleasantly surprised with both build quality and battery life!
I purchased this mainly for lobster season here in Florida. I was tired of the clunky, incandescents of the past that had a yellow hue and poor battery life. Also wasn’t completely happy with the last few LED dive lights I had purchased prior to this one (Princeton Tec, west marines house brand, and another that I can’t remember the manufacturers name). So last year I took a leap of faith and decided to spend slightly more money and try out this new to me brand- Orcatorch (model D710). The package arrived very quick, only a few days if I remember correctly and I was immediately struck by how nice the case alone was! It’s comes in a semi soft exterior with a good sized zipper (important for salt water environments). The case itself opens up clam shell style. The inside on one half of the clam shell has a stretchy netting that holds charging accessories as well as product paperwork. The opposite side has a nice and solid closed cell foam that holds the flashlight as well as the battery. The figment is great and attention to detail so far was the best I had seen on any type of flashlight let alone a dove light. The light itself is well balanced in the hand, although not necessarily critical underwater but was a nice bonus. I really like the placement of the on/off switch (mounted on the side with an aluminum push button near the head which is sooooo much nicer than the tail mounted buttons when underwater in my opinion). The lense is made very solid and has resisted any scratching when it was left on the bottom and rolled on coral rock or sand to mark my spots as I Freedive only. The high and medium are extremely bright. I tend to only use medium or low honestly for most dives and even on low it’s brighter than all my other lights. The battery life was great as well and they charge fairly quickly. I really like the fact that there is a green/red indicator light on the side to let you know when the battery is running low. Most dives when using medium mode if the red light comes on I switch to low and still get almost another 45 minutes or so of use which is awesome. Anyone looking for a no excuses dove light that stand up to the elements, and is super bright with great color temperature I would highly suggest the OrcaTorch line up. You will not be disappointed. Ps- this is actually the only time I have written a review, normally not my thing however this product definitely deserved one, hope it helps others 🤙

d710 is a super solid scuba light
Got the D710 to add to my collection of dive lights. This light is perfect to back up the two lights I use on my camera rig. Those are best for videos and photos, but this one really shines bright and far! Much better to look for things further away. Just did a 60 minute dive in La Jolla tonight, and this was still on green for battery life. My buddy took some video and pics of me, showing how well it worked. I love the red outside, it really stands out. I also like how OrcaTorch’s come with a nice case, 2 batteries, a charging cord, a bungee cord, and extra o-rings. You really can’t beat this light for its price.

High Quality, Reliable Dive Torch!
As an avid traveler and scuba diver having a quality reliable dive light is extremely important. Right off the bat I appreciated the case with foam inserts to keep the light safe during packing and travel. It also keeps everything together, so it is simple to find. I was able to take this new light on a recent trip to Cozumel Mexico where I used it for a night dive and multiple Cenotes dives and let me tell you for the money you won't find a better torch. Brightness: When it comes to lights one of the most important factors is brightness. What I liked about this light was the on/off button is easy to find by feel which is important in the dark. You can hold the button down a few seconds when off to lock it during travel or push it multiple times to cycle through various levels of brightness. This allowed me to tailor the power to my needs and extend the already amazing battery life (more on that in a minute). In my attached video you can see the 3 levels (high, medium, low) and when on you can hold the button down for what I am calling "Super" power (3000 lumens!). I was able to clearly see even at a distance during my night dive and was pleased with the fine angle that reduced the blooming effect that wide angle lights can create due to the fine particulates floating everywhere in the ocean. Battery Life: Another factor of dive torches that can't be understated is the reliability and length of battery life. Many dive lights only come with a single battery, and some are not even removeable, which is difficult for multi-dive adventures. Typically, I dive 2 or 3 tanks in a day and having the ability to swap out the battery for a fully charged right on the boat was priceless. This meant I could use the light to its fullest extent without having to worry about having enough power for my next dive. Another great feature was the fact that you can charge the batteries outside of the torch and they have an led indicator light so you know when they are full. This means if I need to charge one battery, I can still take the light with another battery on a dive. Loving the flexibility. Reliability: Needless to say, I have put this torch to the test in multiple dive situations where having a light that turns on every time is vital and this light performed every, single, time. Not only that, but you know you have a good light when 3 other people on the boat get out their lights and they are the same brand or even the same exact model. Downsides: Honestly, I have not found any downsides yet. I did see another diver with a different light made by this same brand which included a green laser and thought that was very useful as well for training or even playing with fish because they follow the laser point (how cool is that?) so I'll probably be looking for that next. As a diver it never hurts to have a great light and this could work as either a primary or a backup, so I highly recommend you try it out!

Excellent torch and excellent customer service. Torch unexpectedly stopped working. Some troubleshooting and a little video later, a replacement was sent and received within a couple of days

The product is not Orcatorch genuine merchandise. It has ok quality on first dive but if you expect to have a high end quality I guess it is not the real thing! I have a picture of it too

A great torch, long battery life even at highest setting. It has three power settings that I used differently on the same dive. As I descend I use on lowest power. As I moved across the reef I went to high power allowing me to be further away from the reef. As I got close To reef I didn’t need full power as I was close to the reef looking for macro subjects so the power level 2 was ideal. Doing multiple fives a day you need a spare battery so you can charge the other or swap during surface intervals. Fear not they provide a spare battery too. It’s a lightweight but powerful torch with a wrist strap. A lanyard with clip would be good to see in the box so that’s one aspect I would advise to add. Simple to do yourself though. When surfacing you want it clipped off to avoid anything dangling or falling out of your pockets. It’s rated to 150m so recreational to tech diving it will be a useful primary or back up torch. The angle beam of the torch is narrow at 6 degrees which is great for longer distance. A more wider beam option would be good to give additional versatility but it really does what you need from it.

First torch didn’t work after 1 dive, the company replaced it, the second torch they sent me only lasted one dive as well. Seems to be some manufacturing issue with the spring not pushing the battery to the connection. Worked initially, but the spring gets compressed after 1 use then the battery can’t make the connection to the torch.
