Terrific cheap insurance against hitting anything buried
I had to dig a 100' trench in my yard to bury a 1" plastic water line and also conduit with power. I know from past experience that it is a virtual certainty that sometime in the future, I am going to need to revisit this area and I will wish I knew EXACTLY where those lines are located. This tape is just the ticket. Using any metal detector, I can quickly and painlessly find the buried lines and avoid a disaster. I cut one sprinkler line digging this trench, if this marker tape had been covering it, I could have avoided that repair. I simply dug my trench (about a foot deep), laid my lines and then refilled about 8" of dirt and then laid this aluminum foil tape on top and filled the final 3-4". I tried to keep the tape in the top "shovel depth" of the trench, so I would see it on my first shovelful if I ever dig it up. A cheap and great way to permanently mark anything underground where there is a chance you will cross it in the future. It should last forever, or until I excavate it out.

It is as advertised. Metal detector picks it up and will be very obvious if evwr dug up. Buried it half the depth of the water line. Only problem is that now I have 900ft left over. Guess I need to put in another couple buried water lines....

Seems to be good quality
Seems to be nice, hopefully this will keep any future homeowners from hitting the mains I worked so hard to put in.

Good product
Well made, perfect and easy to use for marking the trench we dug to add a solar system from a new barn to the meter. Gave it a 4 because we had to buy so much. Only needed 175' and may never use the rest. Maybe an eBay resell?
