This has worked great on my turtles shell, moisturizing and worked immediately

I use on my red eared slider turtle. It's thick and penetrates the shell and keeps shell well oiled and healthy

my turtles shell has been ashy and dry and kind of start breakage but i’ve starved putting this on him every coupes of days and it’s streathend his shell and made it look so much shinier and healthier!

Okay, I liked the more natural ingredients such as avocado in this turtle shell conditioner, but this stuff was dripping out all over the package when I got it in the mail, even though the senders wrapped it carefully and scotch-taped the nozzle of the bottle top. My 30 year old Malaysian box turtle Pooter was used to the old cream being massaged into his shell, and was a little taken aback at having this watery liquid smeared on him, but I bet he was as grateful as I was that heavy peppermint-eucalyptus smell of the pink Tetra cream wasn't there anymore, and also the Tetra took forever to dry -- Poot's an amboina cuora turtle and partially aquatic, so he plops right back into his water pool and that sort of wasted the cream I used to put on him, and goop up the water. This stuff is much better because it absorbs right away, but I will have to wait and see if it moisturizes his shell as effectively. I was leaning toward Fair but will rate it Good as it is easy and quick to use, but let's hope it is as good a conditioner. Addendum: a few days have gone by; I've given Mr. Poot another application and don't see any obvious improvement -- for all the strong aroma and creamy gooeyness, the Vita-Shell WAS a better product in the long run, but we're all stuck buying this new runny stuff because obviously there's no Vita-Shell available to purchase anywhere, anymore. I'll have to continue to use this product because there is nothing else, don't want to dump anything dangerous on my turtle like scented baby oil meant for people. Maybe in a few more applications Pooter's shell will be a little glossier -- the carapace still has a bit of a "worn" look although he is in otherwise fine health and looked especially plush after his Vita-Shell treatments. Plastron looks good, though, with this item.

Definitely does the job!

I have an adult Russian tortoise and after giving him a warm soak, I apply this to the top and bottom of his shell. It really helps his shell be moisturized and you don't need a lot of it. His shell soaks it up well and will not need another application for a few weeks even with weekly soaking. His humidity is kept at his appropriate level so that helps greatly. It smells so good and no more dry or flaky scutes or carapace! Bottle lasts quite a while.

Really does hydrate the she’ll. You can see the difference between the one tortoise and the other 3 tortoises without the lotion.
