I did take someone else's advice about having the Hunter logo face AWAY from the door and I am so happy I did, its a little large and in silver with black, it stands out a lot. Keep in mind, the lights were not hooked up yet, so it was NOT a complete circuit. We found out, the unit does NOT function unless the entire thing is put together. We spent a solid 20 minutes up and down the stairs and adjusting wires. So avoid the hassle and install the whole thing and hope for the best! If you need to take parts off, it really isn't that hard. My husband installed the fan blades without the washers and I was worried they would be extra noisy, but no issue. Once we got it all together, we discovered the remote was NOT paired like it was supposed to be. No big issue, the directions tell you exactly what to do, we followed them and it worked great. Lastly, I thought the lights were supposed to be dimmable, however. they are not. I saw some other reviews suggest how to make them dimmable, I will try those steps and update. Any others experience this?** A: I had the same problem. I called Hunter Fans First, they had me try turning the light on/off repeatedly, but that didn’t help. Then Hunter fans sent me two new lightbulbs because they said sometimes the warehouse makes a mistake and puts the wrong kind of lightbulbs in the box. The new lightbulbs didn’t help. Then I had my husband buy two new dimmable lightbulbs, and that still didn’t help. I had given up all hope until I read some of the other answers. I tried tall2020’s fix & IT WORKED! Thank you tall2020. I’m not sure if the new lightbulbs helped or not. Below are the steps (copied from tall2020). 1. Turn light switch off and back on 2. Within 3 minutes, hold down the fan off button while pressing the light button twice ( if the problem is not correct you can repeat process up to 5 times) **Q: What is the height from ceiling to the bottom of the light?** A: Why does it say 11.03 in description? **Q: The specs say this fan is 9.9 inches in height. Is this from the ceiling to to the bottom of the light or the fan bland?** A: I measure 12.5" from the ceiling to the bottom of the light. At the lowest point of the fan blade I measure 8.5". **Q: Are the blades on the silver fan black?** A: They are reversible -- and easy to switch. Dimable light is a nice feature also. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good fan, remote is hit or miss *by I***1 on July 1, 2025* I installed two of these ceiling fans, and I'm generally satisfied with them. I needed a fan that didn't drop too far down from my ceilings (which aren't very tall, about 8'), had more than one light fixture (given that so many fans today can't handle high-wattage lights), and also had a remote. These look nice, and they're a good value. Perhaps most importantly, they work well as fans. The instructions were clear, so that helped the installation along. I'd never installed a fan before, but this went fairly smoothly (though I'm sure it helped that I was replacing existing fans). The main thing that stops me from giving five stars is the remote. Sometimes I have to hold it quite close to the fan for it to work, and I don't have very large rooms. I'm not sure why that is the case - sometimes turning it on is very easy, but turning it off is more difficult. Or vice versa, it's a bit annoying.
