Fits well on my a6000, Mounted up easy, just had to remove the strap rings. as someone with fairly large hands, this makes camera way more ergonomic to hold, and the additional mount points are very nice. it does interfere with the downward tilt of the rear screen a little bit, not sure if that issue is specific to the a6000 or not though. All other camera controls/hatches/features are still easily accessible and ergonomic. well machined and finished, overall another solid offering from SmallRig.

Instantly fell in love with the sturdy quality! I was skeptical about purchasing this because some people said it did or didn't work for their a6000. By happy surprise, it does! Just make sure you take out the pin on the grip-side so you can secure the camera's side-loop. I was annoyed that the stock Sony a6000 came with these triangle-like loops that I needed to be removed so the above is possible. But I kept the one on the other side on so I can still wear my strap. Speaking of the grip, the size is perfect for my bigger hands (if you're a pianist, I can reach an octave + 1 whole step thumb and pinky). I can still attach my tripod bottom to the cage, it has multiple spots to screw it in with the same size as the bottom that screws into the camera. No wobbling or shaking, I am very happy with this. A bit disappointed that SmallRig's items are a bit complicated to understand for the novice photographer.

Fantastic cage for the a6400. Installation is very easy with just two mounting points: the right-side camera strap mount and the baseplate underneath. Remember to unscrew the mounting point on the rig first. There are no instructions, but it is straightforward. It adds a little weight, but that is a small trade-off for protecting your camera. The cage comes with a magnetic tool that sits at the bottom, so no separate bag is needed. The larger handle is excellent. The a6400’s small frame can feel awkward to hold, and this handle makes it much more comfortable. Highly recommended.

Grip built into a6400 is small and not comfortable for long use, but this solves that problem. My hands aren't huge (I am 5'8") but the original grip is not big enough for even average hands. This grip is great and allows for attachment of lots of accessories. I would definitely recommend for the low price.

This cage just fits like it's supposed to be there. Everything about it makes sense. I used it with both my a6000 and a6400 and they both were fully compatible. Has space for everything you need, the mounts are nice and snug. It feels so much better with the cage than without it as my hands are a little big for the bare a6400. Doesn't add too much weight to the camera while also making it feel much more protected and sturdy. The metal does not bend at all, even when I tried bending it on purpose. No other cage felt like this one and I would buy it again even if it cost double. Very much worth the $50 I paid for it, which im pretty sure is full price. Recommended this to all my friends and would recommend it to anyone who needs a cage for the 6000s series.

I got this for my sony a6400, The fit was perfect it took a second to take the ring off my camera so I can get the second locking pin in but after that it was smooth sailing It adds a perfect amount of weight to it, im use to full frame cameras so wss missing the extra weight and this fixes The grip allows people with bigger hands to hold the camera better, and it has a soft padding thats comfortable for long periods of photo shoots It has so many spots for your lights, camera rails, battery, monitors if you plan on doing video Ive never dropped it and dont plan to but I feel with how good the quality is, that it'd protect it just fight as it covers all the corners

This is great! Light and great for adding better grip for people with big hands. Lots of mounting points and makes me a bit less worried if I drop it. Solid build and very easy to install. Only negative is that if you don’t have a set of extra batteries and separate charger you’ll have to take it off to hook up the charging cable to the camera. Otherwise it’s great!
