This is designed for the 7mm and 9mm 2.5" drives that are 2TB or smaller. However, I can admit that without the outter case on (like John said) it will work with 12mm drives. I currently have 2x 5TB Seagates 12mm drives in mine. You just have to live with the drives showing. As for String Theory's answer, putting Firecuda SSHD's is a good idea only if you are using them as single drives or Raid 1. Raid 0 eliminates the use of the SSD caching system like indicated over on the Seagate website. **Q: How many GB does it have?** A: To make sure what the topic is here, my comments are just about the Vantec enclosure and not about whatever drive + enclosure Vantec may sell. My drive, for what it's worth, though, and it doesn't matter, was a 225 GB HP drive pulled out of motherboard-fried HP laptop.
