Gator Cases Pro-Go Series Ultimate Guitar Gig Bag, Fits Standard Electric Guitars (G-PG ELECTRIC)

I love this guitar case! It's a little heavier than my old Groove Pak, which I've been toting around for 20 years, but it's much more protective and has all the great storage of that old case, with extra bells and whistles. This is a soft shell case, so it does not have the built-in styrofoam shell of the Transit series, but Gator's ads show it being tossed and kicked around, so they clearly feel secure in the cushioning that the case provides, and it's easy to see why. The sides are all rigid, and the inside has cushioning on all sides, with three extra additional movable pieces to create a super secure fit. If you love to be super organized, there are separate pockets for everything -- a nice-sized one on top that I use for picks, batteries, Snarks, capos; a big one on the bottom that I use for mics, a pedal, cables (also has a separate cushioned pocket for an iPad), one on the outside of that that I use for strings and string-changing accessories, and a small flat one up top that's good for cards, mic condoms, etc. On the pack, there is also a little pocket for the raincover that comes with the case. Honestly, I thought I'd never use that thing, but it's great! It slides on easily and has elastic edges to make it self-securing. This is a great case. I had to leave it out for the first few days I had it just to admire it. For years I considered the Mono, but the price tag was prohibitive on that one, and the fit was really tight. I just could never rationalize spending that much money on what to me was an imperfect case. This one is pricey but $50 less than the Mono and really worth it, imo.

I have several Gator products including amp cases and various guitar cases. I have never yet been disappointed with a product from Gator. They always make top quality gear. This bag is a great addition to their line. I also own a top of the line Reunion Blues RBG1 guitar case/bag. Comparing the two bags, I would say the Gator G-PG is very close to the Reunion Blues in quality and overall protection. One thing I like about both of these cases is the fact that they open up completely, like a hard case, as opposed to the way some gig bags only open enough to slide the guitar in (while trying not to scratch it against the zipper). I like a case that you can open and check out the guitar before lifting it out. The Gator bag also has some features not found on the Reunion Blues bag like a removable body insert (to accommodate longer guitars) and a front handle (which I find very handy on any gig bag type case) and lastly a rain cover, which is conveniently tucked away in its own little pocket.. I doubt that I will use the rain cover, but I can see where it would be handy to have for some musicians who are outside a lot. Another comparison is that the shoulder straps on the Reunion Blues case tuck-away in pockets so they are not always dangling off the case. The Gator's straps do not have that tuck-away feature, but they are easily removable, so it's not too much of an issue for me. The only possible con with the Gator bag is the white interior. The fabric is extremely soft and plush, so that's cool, but I am concerned that the white fabric will quickly show soil and stains. Aside from that one issue, the Gator G-PG is well worth the price and definitely a case that I will keep and use for a very long time. I can't say the Gator bag is superior to the Reunion Blues, or vice versa. In my opinion, they are equal, but different, if that makes any sense. The Reunion Blues case might have a slight edge as far as overall protection, but the Gator case is still plenty strong and has the extra features that I mentioned earlier. Which one to buy is really going to be a matter of personal taste. Regardless, you can't go wrong with the Gator Case and since this review is supposed to be about the Gator case, I will sum up by saying it is an excellent product and a great value for the price. Any guitar player would be happy with this case.

Overall, this is a great case. I usually haul a normal bass and a weird bass to every gig, like a P Bass and a Fretless or a Jazz Bass and a Bass VI. It's so much easier to haul two instruments in this case. It's sturdy enough to offer substantial protection to the instruments, but not overbuilt to the point where it's adding more unnecessary weight. Hauling two basses on your back is heavy enough, and Gator built a case that is light and protective. The pockets are big enough to carry sheet music, but I don't put anything else in this bag because I'm over 40 and two basses weigh enough, so all my other stuff comes in to the venue in another bag. All in all, this is a great product. I will update after a year or two of use.

Bought the same case a few years ago for my Godin LG. I needed a sturdy gig bag which would do well on an international flight. Fit in every overhead bin without a problem, even in the smaller planes. Now I’m planning to bring my PRS overseas and I didn’t think twice about which case to get. The metal clips are KEY, they don’t break like the plastic clips on other bags. Zippers are heavy duty and the fabric is super sturdy. Love the waterproof cover which comes included. Have used it many times in pop up storms when I’m out with my guitar. Highly recommend this bag.

Vor 2 Jahren habe ich mir das erste Gator G-PG Bag gekauft und bin nach wie vor von der Qualität überzeugt. Die Verarbeitung ist exzellent, und die Gitarre wird durch den wirklich sehr gut gepolsterten Schaumstoff/Bag hervorragend geschützt. Im Prinzip kann man auf einen Koffer verzichten. Die Reißverschlüsse funktionieren selbst nach Langem noch sehr gut und laufen flüssig. Dieses Model ist für Semi-Hollow / 355 Modelle ausgelegt. In meinem Fall schützt es eine D`Angelico Excel 59. Absolute Empfehlung!

Senzillamente espectacular. Funda de altísima calidad, protege muy bien el instrumento y tiene mucho almazenamiento.

Cette housse est magnifique, je l adore ! Très belles finitions et qualités des matériaux irréprochable. Tout a été bien pensé pour la sécurité de la basse. Elle est bien calée et la microfibre intérieure est toute douce pour ne pas abîmer l'instrument. Idem pour une des pochettes internes qui peut recevoir une tablette sans aucun risque de rayures. De nombreuses pochettes bien pratiques sont présentes pour y ranger, jacks, partitions etc... il y a même un imperméable pour la housse. Je pense vraiment que cette housse qui est bien rigide, protègera ma basse durant de nombreuses années. Je ne m'en séparerai pour rien au monde. J'ai d'ailleurs offert la même en taille différente, à ma guitare acoustique...parce qu'elle le vaut bien :):):) Je recommande vivement cette housse. Certes, comparée à d'autres, le prix est plus élevé, mais vraiment la qualité et l'esthétique sont bien présents et pour moi c'est vraiment le plus important ;)

Great for my strat I like the quality and the size for the pockets, just I wish I could keep my ipad 11” in the front pocket
