This part doesn't come with new screw.

Would this work on a Mazda CX-9 2010?

This part will not fit Mazda CX-9 2010.

1) How difficult is this to install? 2) Does part come with installation instructions?

Dear custmer, The installation process is quite simple. Take down the plastic board of back door, then swap it out with the original non-working actuator. Please make sure the connection port has been properly connected, your vehicle will have a working lift gate again. Or you can watch Youtube, you will find a great disassembly instruction. Moreover, this product have no installation instruction yet. But once we have produced the detailed installation instructions, we will update the product description. Hope this helps. ATRACYPART

I only need to replace the electric motor of the latch on a ford escape 2008. will this one fit, given i do not need the whole part?

It's easier just to replace the whole thing rather than pulling the motor from the unit and installing it into your Escape. Besides, the Escapes are famous for water getting into that actuator latch and rusting it up, so I would just put in a whole new unit. That's what I did with my daughter's Escape and she's not had a problem since.
