STAR WARS LEGENDS EPIC COLLECTION: THE NEW REPUBLIC VOL. 2

All four of the stories contained are really solid and great, but it is more for the hardcore fans. Great character development with wedge and other characters in the book. The best storyline was probably the phantom affair and the weakest rebel opposition.

Great stories here and came just as described. The story revolves mostly around Wedge Antilles and Rogue Squadron and really delves into Wedge's character. Great for anyone who loves Star Wars.

A good group of Rogue Squadron stories. I enjoyed seeing what Wedge Antilles and his friends were up do during a time when not everyone has heard the Emperor is dead. It gives some interesting history for some of the Squadron as well. My only complaints are that it's sometimes hard to keep everyone straight since a some of the characters look very similar (or they change appearance from one story arc to the next) and sometimes the story was very predictable. Hopefully Volume 3 continues with the next Rogue Squadron issues so we can get the whole series!

Fun collection of stories! Gets much better In the next volume however. Definitely worth a read if you enjoy the x-wing series of books, and want the back story that gets brought up.

More great Star Wars stories and action!

The Rogue Squadron comic series is, overall, bizarrely overrated. On the Internet, for the most part, it is spoken of in the same terms with which the book series is described, and yet unlike the books (which are exceptional), the comics are all (with the exception of “In the Empire’s Service,” in the next ‘Epic Collection’) tired, ill-conceived, and visually unappealing. The cover artwork is always good, however.

I grew up with the original Marvel stuff, and only read a few of the dark horse comics while they had them, but now I can’t get enough of them. Just a steady diet of quality Star Wars stories. The epic collection format is great to read as well, appealing, durable and affordable, especially these X-Wing volumes with good old WEDGE as the main man. Should stay in print FOREVER
