This is the definition of ease. The case works perfectly with original GBA hardware, and no cutting or shaping is necessary I paired this case with their matching eXtremeRate buttons replacement for a clean single color design and I love it. The case doesn't feel like a cheap replacement case, it feels quite nice. This particular case has a glossy smooth finish, which tends to show fingerprints a bit easier, but I personally don't find it a problem because a quick wipe down with a dry cloth, it's ready to be put back on the display shelf with no fingerprints to be seen! Features that I enjoy on this is: The battery holder. For more context, I've replaced so many gba shells where the battery cover is just loose, where they can fall out or just rattle around, BUT THIS ONE IS PERFECT! It's a tight fit and stays in the battery slot perfectly. I also like that this case comes with a blue metal plate for the GBA game slot. It's not a huge deal, but it allows the piece blend in a lot better over a plain silver plate that can just stick out like a sore thumb! Lastly I enjoy how the screen it ships with does not say anything other then Game Boy Advance. I have seen many companies say something different on the screen, like their company name or just random things. This one keeps to the original and it's very appreciated! Overall it's a 10/10 in my book. I have and will continue to reccomend it to friends, and people who repair Game Boy Advances'!

I have to say, I was mainly buying this shell because the pretrimmed v5 Hispeedido shell wouldn't close on its own for some reason (a few posts were too high and I fixed the issue). I have also bought GBA SP shells/buttons and NDSL shells from Extremerate and have been incredibly satisfied. These shells like their GBA SP and NDSL counterparts fit together REALLY well. In fact, I would say I prefer these shells over the OEM ones as they just feel better in terms of quality. In terms of the buttons and the overall functionality of the shell, it works great. You will need to give it a little bit of time for the membranes to really wear in as they're a tad stiff when they're brand new. Onto the thing that many might be wondering. How much do you need to trim this for a laminated v5 screen? A good amount. I've done 3 builds with these shells with these screens but if you need to know what to do you may want to look on YouTube how to trim an OEM shell for a laminated screen. The process is fairly similar. Basically you trim the window out on all sides a bit and then sand down the right hand side (from the inside POV). Overall, I would highly recommend these shells to anyone. If you can't trim the shell, don't get the laminated kit, just get the one that's nonlaminated and you'll do just fine. UPDATE: 1-22-2025 I've bought multiple of the black shell and buttons to match and can still say these shells are absolutely awesome. They of course still require some work to get the laminated v5 screens to fit but they're excellent shells. I have recently done a custom FP GBA board (you have to transplant the CPU and RAM) and the board fit decently. Depending on how well aligned the audio jack is you may have to Drexel away a small amount of material from the inside of the shell for it to be perfect. It's about 20 seconds worth of work but it's certainly worth it for the results. These shells are absolutely awesome!

The shell is beautiful and had a pretty nice feel. I also bought some buttons to go along it it. I love the way it looks. However, some of my games BARELY fit in it. I actually ended up scratching the entry port a bit to get that copy of pokemon Ruby in there, and it was a STRUGGLE to get the games back out. Id still highly recommend it, since the games at least still go in and out. As adults, I really doubt we are swapping which games go in too often

I'm not gonna lie this is one of the best aftermarket shells I have ever used.. I have taken apart many gameboy colors, gameboy advance and gameboy Sp and installed new shells on all of them but this shell is super smooth like it has 3 layers of clear coat over the paint. It doesn't have that rough feeling like the original shells.. it fits together perfectly and the battery cover shuts and locks perfectly. I have bought many shells before and the battery covers are always loose and fit horribly but not on this shell ! I will definitely buy more shells from this company.. I rarely leave reviews but I'm telling who ever is reading this, if you want a perfect fitting GBA shell thats high quality look no further because this is the one.

This shell (and the chrome button set) is gorgeous! The hypershift goes from bright blue to this awesome purple and it even came with all the needed parts. I'm talking screwdrivers, a glass screen overlay, AND the adhesive to install it. The only thing I WILL say is that the replacement screws are a little subpart compared to the original ones. The triwing cut isn't quite defined enough, leading to a lot of slipping during install. They also seem to be slightly thinner maybe? They caused the side pieces to rattle where the og screws lock them down good.

I like this shell way better than the original. It feels like it's made with quality. It's got that buttery feel that it's great for playing for long hours. And it looks great and cute! It's also the perfect shade of pink (at least for me).

It feels nice, even at bit lighter than the original shell. The directions included on youtube are great but some of the screws will not go in all the way like the video showed. Had to match some of the old screws from the original shell. It is a solid look and a great replacement if your screen is also scratched up.

DO NOT USE THE SCREW DRIVERS THAT COME WITH THESE KITS! Like an idiot, I used the screwdrivers from this kit and ended up unable to screw in or out any screws anymore. I had to rip the case till it broke apart to get the screws out. Do not use them! Also use the original screws that came with ur original game boy these are so much better than this cheap after market screws!

Esta carcasa fue mi primera opcion, pues hice un trabajo de restauración de un GBA que estaba en muy mala condición, le faltaba la tapa de las pilas, la del cable link, ademas de que la pantalla estaba rayada y no funcionaba el audio. Tambien cambie la pantalla por una IPS, la cual compre en otra tienda la cual incluia una carcasa, aunque no de mala calidad, los plasticos estaban algo duros. Estoy muy contento con el resultado, los botones son suaves y el plastico tienen un acabado gloss o satinado que lo hace muy agradable, el acabado en azul metalico ni se diga. NOTA A QUIEN COMPRE ESTA CARCASA: en mi caso compre un KIT IPS V5 de HISPEEDIDO, el cual es una pantalla laminada, por lo que si desean hacer la instalación de dicho kit en esta carcasa se tendra que recortar el marco interior y rebajar uno de los lados para poder instalar la pantalla correctamente.

Honnêtement j’ai été très agréablement surprise par la qualité des petites pièces, presque semblables aux originales, bon point. La coque est très douce au touchée, inhabituelle mais franchement pas désagréable !! Peut-être un matériel un peu trop léger par rapport à l’original mais ça ne dérange pas. Les mauvais points : on va y inclure un bon point, la vidéo explicative sur le site est juste géniale !! Mais dans cela, pas assez de gros plans sur par exemple dans quel sens mettre la pièce métallique qu’on glisse dans les touche L & R. Également le tournevis triangulaire qui est de mauvaise qualité, j’ai eu énormément de mal à visser, le tournevis semblait presque pointu je ne saurait dire, je ne peux même pas dire si c’est vissé à fond ou non.. autre point, il aurait peut-être fallut un petit sticker pour le cache piles, c’est plutôt dommage que ça soit vide comme ça. Mais dans l’ensemble je suis plutôt satisfaite, c’était très ludique et j’ai adoré redonner une nouvelle vie à ma Gameboy. Merci :)

Impressive amount of bang for your buck. Everything is included from the screws, to the guard, case, stickers lens. Honestly I've already bought a second one to repair my childhood GBA. The instructions were provided in a video, from their website it links to youtube. One for an IPS screen upgrade and one for the basic screen. The movies are simple, no narration so make sure to follow the images on screen after you mute the music. But overall were very simple to follow along and comprehensive on every step. One suggestion would be to get some rubbing alcohol and Q-tips to clean off the button pads and speaker. They did not show this step in the how-to but it's easily found on other similar rebuild videos and 100% worth the effort. In the end the case, instructions and price are incredible. I highly suggest this kit to anyone wanting to breathe life back into their old handheld. But do keep the original parts, they do hold value for authentic systems.
