It's pretty decent. I have a really dense beard and it's wildly uncontrollable, I normally use shampoo and conditioner then just towel dry and comb. Occasionally I throw a little dab of oil on but no longer use balm as i don't see any benefit from it. Was on the fence about these straightners for two reasons, 1 being I didnt want to throw money at something that doesn't work and 2 I didn't want to feel embarrassed about owning one 😂. Glad I bought it and if you are thinking of getting one then I do recommend this one. Have nothing else to compare it do but it's worked pretty well for me. Seen a few reviews of people saying it gets hot, wouldn't be much use if it didn't🤦and the back is obviously going get hot too. It doesn't feel cheap either which was something I was worried about. Recommend using a heat defense spray before using, the one in my picture works really well, is inexpensive and smells good too.

Two days before Christmas my son tells me that he would really like a heated beard brush, so I quickly go onto my Amazon app and searched heated beard brush and this one came up with a video showing how it works, so I ordered it at the great value price it was being sold at and it arrived the next day - Christmas eve - as soon as my son opened it on Christmas morning he immediately plugged it in, he has a medium to long beard and I am no fan of beards but my son loves his beard so helping him to look after his beard is the least I can do. I warned him that quite a few reviews had mentioned how hot the back of the brush gets but my son assures me that his doesn't get hot at all which is good. There are no negatives with this heated beard brush, this is what my son has told me - it heats up quickly and is easy to use, it makes the beard look longer, it smooths the beard down and the beard feels softer, it has 3 settings for different length beards and my sons one does not get hot on the back. It also comes with a valour type pouch to make it easy to travel with. All in all my son is really happy with how the heated beard brush works which makes this a fantastic gift. The heated beard brush my son originally showed me was well over £100 and the only differences between this one and the expensive on is - the expensive one has a digital display and the expensive one is cordless, so not only did I pay around half the normal price but it was over £70 cheaper than the expensive one. I asked my son if he would recommend this heated beard brush and he said he had already recommended it to someone, so that's a yes then 👍

Make beard straight and styled very easy to operate they are a good size the only downside to these straighteners is the temperature of the back of the brush they get hot so be carefull not to touch .only hold the handle.use beard oil first after washing and wait 5 minutes then glide the straighteners through the beard to achieve good results

Design a bit awkward, I keep changing heat settings while brushing cause buttons is on a handle itself where your fingers goes. Back of the brush gets to hot as well. Someone might burn their hands is they have sensitive skin. Apart from that all seems good. Used it once only so far. Easy to use and heats up fast. Works really good on my (head) hair.

Brilliant item my son in law loves it

So I bought this in December and worked fine for a few months but now it smokes really badly when I power it on, the brush is clean with no hair or lint but the brisles are discoloured. And when it's powered on it does matter which setting you select the unit gets really hot and the back of the brush gets extremely hot. Not sure if this is a faulty unit or just a bad design. Edit: I contacted Viking support and they shipped me a replacement unit and so far seems to be working fine, still get quite hot on the back of the brush so you need to be careful where you put it down etc or handling it.

Great if you have a long beard you want to maintain. Different heat levels which you can choose from. Heats up pretty quick and easy to use. Just be careful as on the highest setting it can get really hot. Had it for a few years now without any issues. Would definitely recommend.

I had used this a few times, generally no issue. About a week after purchasing, I had it set to 170°C and it was smoking. I used it anyway, but afterwards I decided to check the temp. It was reading 192°C a few minutes after turning it off. Even the back of the straightener was reading at 132°C. I don't know how hot it was when I was using it but it's incredibly dangerous and most likely damaged my beard.

Just burns hairs and doesn't straighten at all. Really not happy with the product quality.
