Definitely worth buying for chronic pain management self-care
I donโt write reviews very often but the BackBadger is definitely worth writing about. The device itself is a lifesaver in terms of my chronic pain management self-care. I definitely recommend it without hesitation. For those wondering how this tool is worth the expense, I was skeptical too. I already had a massage gun with an extended handle that can reach the middle of my back, so why spend more money to use my massage gun that already gets too heavy/difficult/painful for me to use for more than a minute or two on my back? Especially since strapping extra metal to the massage gun would only make it heavier & more burdensome for me to use? The reason is this: once you figure out how to best use the BackBadger with your massage gun (how to hold/balance/move/etc it) on yourself, the entire thing ends up seeming to weigh less in your hands while youโre holding it & using it. Which means, you can use your massage gun on your back or hard to reach places for longer periods of time with much less/no strain or exertion bc your hands are holding the BackBadger in front of you & an arm is braced against your body, distributing the whole weight, allowing you to pivot/hold/balance the device & massage gun w relative ease. You no longer need to strain & keep up the effort to continue and hold the massage gun up while youโre using it. Thatโs huge for someone like me with chronic pain & chronic fatigue. It makes all the difference in being able to actually do a back massage on myself every day versus only when Iโm able to and absolutely need to, and even then Iโd probably need to ask someone for help. I would know - I have 5 different massage gun types of devices & Iโve never been able to do as much self-help massage therapy as Iโve wanted/needed to. Until now โ because of the BackBadger. Note on the quality of the device: incredible. Iโm using v3 with the silicone sleeves - and I have no complaints whatsoever. The company has taken a lot of effort to make a sturdy, premium product that feels good & safe to use in your hands. I hope to be using this BackBadger forever. Also, for anyone who has used a Theracane or similar trigger point self-help tool, this is like that but way better because with a massage gun, you donโt have to do any continuous effort of pulling/massaging movement to get relief. You just turn your massager on, bring the BackBadger up/around/etc and just hold it in place until you want to move it etc. Being able to use my massage gun by myself all along my back & everywhere else without having to rely on someone else helping me - itโs a hugely empowering thing in my life. Not to mention how much of a help itโs been & will be to my chronic pain management self-care. So, thank you to the wonderful genius makers of this device for sharing your invention with the world!! Which reminds me, the customer service from this small two-person company has been unparalleled. Iโve never felt this taken care of by a company selling healthcare/wellness products before - thank you, Emily! So, for anyone thinking about getting the BackBadger to help them with pain relief via massage therapy, this is a no-brainer decision. The BackBadger + a massage gun = best decision you can make to enable you to massage yourself whenever you want/need, even with severe chronic pain & fatigue. โ updated 3/1/24 with pic โ Still loving using my BackBadger every day! Everyone in my family also bought their own BB too, itโs that good! I used the DIY tire wrap fix (thanks fellow reviewer!) around my Theragun for months before the minds behind BackBadger came out with their own Grip Wrap. The BackBadger Grip Wrap was much easier & faster to put on than the smelly cut tire. Overall itโs a better solution to the rotating issue for a reasonable price โ check it out for your massage gun handle! Oh, also, pro tip: you can definitely use the BackBadger while sitting on a chair or stool to great effect with minimal effort! The only part you won't be able to reach is the part of you sitting ๐

Function and ease of use
Well made and strong. It may be a bit heavy for individuals with weak upper arm mobility. I have a Bob and Brad Q2 mini hand held massager. It fits on the strap holder and stays in place. Since itโs a small massager, button to increase the vibration is obscured by the strap. Therefore, if I need to increase the power I have to unstrap it. Otherwise, it does what it was designed to do. Reach those difficult areas.

Best purchase of 2023!
This just came TODAY. Delivery was great, just ordered it Saturday evening, was delivered Sunday afternoon about 2:30pm. Used it as soon as we brought it into the house. EASY to click the three pieces together, crank down on the wraps to hold the handle in place. I have had my Fit King Massage gun for quite a while, but always needed my spouse to really get those places on my back or hips or glutes that I can not reach! And they just couldn't get the right place. or they're busy, tired, etc. So finally broke down & bought this. BEST PURCHASE OF THE YEAR!!!!! One of my concerns was that I am big person, overweight, really wondered if I would really be able to use it, get the right angle etc. And I'm talking, over 400lbs. But it works SO WELL!! If you wonder if it is worth it, even at close to one hundred dollars it was definitely worth the price! If you like, need, and/or use a massage gun, THIS device makes it so much more usable for those areas that are impossible to reach on your own. As some people mentioned it rattles a little, yeah A LITTLE...but it is definitely not a deal breaker for me. And if it really bothers you, try what the one guy/review used, some foam medical tape or whatever. I LOVE this extension handle. Thank you to the guy who designed/invented it. Well made, good design, holds the gun in place, etc. See my pictures. YES it is worth it!!

Almost Returned
I almost returned this because the massager that I used seem to slip and wouldn't stay straight. I realize that the reason why it was slipping was because of the oil on my hands got on handle which caused it to slip. After realizing what was going on I cleaned it reattached it, and it works like a charm. This is one of the best investments I've made in a while. I still think it's a little pricey at $90 that's why I'm giving it four stars, but other than that it's a great tool.

Theragun adaptation to backbadger
First. I love this tool. Thank you for making it. Also...the tool has rubber sleeves in the overlapping joints. The theragun makes more noise than the backbadger. This backbadger appears to be upgraded after other videos I saw. This is a must if you back pain and you live alone... or if people are getting tired of using the massage gun on you. I like being able to control the angle and pressure of the massager. I prefer to use the massager myself rather than have a significant other try to carry out my instructions. Love the autonomy the backbadger has given me to remove the chronic pain that I often wake up with. I wish I would have got this setup sooner I read a review that some consumers had trouble attaching the backbadger to the theragun. Upon getting the backbadger I took it to best buy to see which massager would function with it. I too struggled to get the handle to sufficiently tighten to prevent drift. I use a lot of pressure to address my situation. massages hurt, but bust the spasms and give me relief afterward. With the pressure my massage therapist uses, the theragun rolled left and right. We tried the hypervolt and it was held fast. We decided the difference was likely the smaller handle on the theragun. We wrapped a small cloth around the handle and it spun around worse. As we were trying to devise a way to increase the diameter to improve the grip of the back badger to the theragun. We both agreed that a rubber wrap would be a likely successful choice. I suggested a bicycle innertube. I ordered a wide bicycle tube from Amazon. I am glad I tried to adapt the theragun to the backbadger. It was worth it. In my own opinion... and those at best buy, the theragun is one of the superior massage gun as far as amplitude 16mm and stall force (60lbs). People like me with deep chronic backpain benefit from increased travel (amplitude) and stronger internal motor that allows the massager to be pressed forcefully into spasming muscles the break the spasms. The theragun pro was what I wanted for my situation, yet some reviews note that it is not capable of hooking to the theragun due to its smaller handle size. A 3.5-4" wide fat bicycle tire did the trick. Ordered from Amazon 1Cut across the inner tube a few inches away from valve stem. 2 open innertube refold the innertube to give it maximal width without circular drift. ( this allows the innertube to be straightly wrapped on the handle without drifting up the handle) 3. I tightly wrapped the innertube 3-4 time around the handed 4. Use the ratcheting straps to connect to handle I have used 3 full batteries without having drift in the handle. All the gauges are visible I am so happy with my decision. Maybe a piece of 4" wide rubber (12-18 inches long) could be added to this kit to make it more adaptable for massager with smaller handles. If you have a favorite massager and it dances in the back badger... I found success with a bicycle inner tube to increase handle width I also wrapped a piece of gorilla duct tape on top and bottom. Kept the theragun even more secure and allowed easy airport transit. Just a side note. The theragun pro, which is an amazing complimentary tool for the backbadger. If the batteries stop working, the batteries are fine. The adaptor is faulty and buy an aftermarket one for $20. The aftermarket was more reliable than the original. I still have no regrets with this setup.

Excellent OVERPRICED device - it completes the massage gun experience. It is a MUST HAVE!
This should probably only cost $30. It only costs more because there is nothing like it. When you've cornered the market, why not charge $100 more than its worth? It killed me that I didn't attempt to build this myself. Let's hope that the market gets flooded with copycats and the price comes down as a result. Anyway - it works and it works great! Just too bad I feel that I got suckered by the cost, like when you are on vacation and you know you are overpaying for certain things but you are OK with it because you are on vacation.

Very helpful. Thank you!
Since purchasing and using the Ninefold Design BackBadger Percussive Massage Gun Holder, I can personally, positively, attest to the superior quality and design of this device. With great expectations I attached this extension to our Lifepro Sonic percussion massage gun. Initially, while using it with quite a bit of force, the Sonic was able to twist in the mount. The last time it came loose, I positioned the straps further up on the handle. (The upper strap is still about 1" from the button switch to turn the Sonic gun on.) By then, I had also watched both videos and subsequently further tightened the latches. I was able to get 1 or 2 more clicks on each strap. So I'm not so sure now that moving the straps higher up on the handle was necessary. (After watching the 2nd video again, per Emily's instruction, I tightened the straps without worrying about breaking them.) The percussion massage guns have been useful for the temporary relief of nerve pain. But the massage guns are heavy and have limited reach. Since attaching this BackBadger extension, I can now more easily reach more areas and with much less fatigue. These massage guns can get heavy, especially with prolonged use. But with the extension attached, it becomes possible to balance the weight of the massage gun. After reading many of the reviews before making the purchase. I decided to try it for myself. That's what I would recommend to anyone who benefits from using a percussion type massage gun. Try it for yourself. I wish I had found it sooner.

Fantastic product, super solid.
Good: Fantastic quality. The 'snowboard' straps it uses to hold your massage gun are SOLID and universal. The bar itself is very sturdy, and the rubber rings they use to stop vibrating noise work perfect. Bar seems to have a smooth, comfortable anodized finish, and feels great in the hands. The curvature of the bar lets you reach ANYWHERE. I'm a fluffy guy (400lb+) and I have ZERO issues getting to any part of my back, even with a bigger tummy. Not so Good: I would say the only nit-pick negative is the price is a little high, but that's only because they aren't mass producing these. The more they can manufacture at once, the cheaper they'll get, so honestly I don't even consider it a negative. Conclusion: GREAT product, simple, breaks down into smaller sections, but rubber was added to make sure that it carries no consequences. Physics are a real thing, so your going to have a big, battery powered massage gun at the end of a stick, so it can be a little unwieldy at first, until you get your hand placements and positions down. But after a few days, I've found a ton of tricks and angles that make the whole experience fantastic. great product.

Lifechanging for those battling chronic pain
What a product, absolutely incredible. I want to give this 10 stars out of 5. I came across the BackBadger purely by chance, but I'm very glad I did. This has been an amazing self-care tool - it allows me to manage muscle spasms and allows me to get significant pain reduction in between physio and massage appointments, at home, on my own, with very little effort. I had a massage gun for quite some time, but like most people, I found it very difficult to use on my own, and most of my back was out of reach. I had looked into wall mounts - I tried two brands, both were useless. I ended up using my massage gun much less frequently than I needed, because I was only able to treat a third of the muscle groups I needed to - and it was still difficult to do so. With the BackBadger, I'm able to sit down, stand, lay down, kneel - and still be able to use my massage gun effectively, which is absolutely amazing. It's not heavy, and while it looks a bit awkward to use, it's actually not. A couple minutes of trial and error and I figured out how to leverage it perfectly. Since buying the BackBadger, I've been using it every single day - in combination with my massage gun. And since I'm now using my massage gun every day, I've seen a significant increase in my mobility and a decrease in my pain. Amazing. I really can't say enough about this product. I know a lot of people will scoff at "lifechanging" but for those who battle chronic pain and muscle dysfunction - especially in their back, neck and shoulders - that's exactly what this is - lifechanging. I'm able to independently manage my own treatment, and that's huge. Is this slightly pricey? Yes. But think about it in terms of cost-per-use. If this is something you use once and put away forever, it's expensive. However, this is likely a product that you'll use frequently - I use it daily. And if it's used daily - for weeks, months, years - then the price is easily justified. The product is exceptionally well-built, the people behind the Back Badger are a very small company, but they have been amazing in terms of customer service and communication - this product is definitely worth it. If you're on the fence about buying this... take the chance. I have no regrets whatsoever. Hint: get the grip wrap, especially if you have larger hands. The wrap can be used not only for the handle of the massage gun, but to wrap around the handle of the Back Badger itself where you hold it most often. (I suggest registering your BackBadger, too)
