I’m not sure about a 2002 but it worked great in my 1999, same engine, so I wouldn’t expect there to be an issue

Replacement how to get pump replacement

Lower gas tank, remove electrical and gas lines, carefully remove fuel pump, replace fuel pump with new pump, attach electrical and gas lines, raise and install gas tank with straps. Turn on ignition to prime lines with fuel. Start vehicle! Watch a video on youtube!
