Pro-tip: count your current links and cut this to the same size (don’t forget to cut the master chain link) and you’re good to go. A good chain cutter is needed but that’s it. I think I had >1000 miles on my other one (which broke, I should’ve replaced it proactively. Lesson learned because I was 8 miles out into a canyon) so these are good quality and last a while!

If you’re looking to upgrade your sram drive train this is a great way to do that. It’s very quiet. I put it on my sram SX drivetrain and it works great. Now I warn you, you will have to size this chain to your bike and if you have a full suspension bike you will have to let all the air out of your rear shock to size the chain which can be a hassle but other than that the chain is awesome.

I ride just over 1000 miles per year. I’ve been changing my GX chains every 500 miles to keep my drivetrain in good shape. Change my GX cassette every 3 years. I’ve had this XX1 chain on my bike for 1500 miles. There has been no measurable wear, it remains at the .25 mark on my Park Tool chain tool. I’ve never seen anything like this. I put Proline chain lube on every 20 miles. The one I purchased is Black with hollow pins. Bike is a Turbo Levo. 50 % of riding is climbing.

I've used these before, and they're great. I ordered a black XO1 and they sent me a rainbow XX1, which kind of stands out on my all black bike, but it's not a big enough deal to send it back. (XO1 & XX1 are functionally the same but with different coatings). If it weren't a "disposable" bike part, I'd return it for the right one, but it will be dirty and dark soon enough anyway... Would be nice if they had a chain that lasts as long as an XTR chain, but for now, this is the best SRAM has to offer.

Que un componente tan esencial sea de calidad no implica que dure, el caso es que uno que antes se deteriora es la cadena por lo expuesta que está a los elementos, sin embargo llevo varias llegando hasta los 10.000 kms en perfecto estado. Tal vez el secreto esté en utilizar cera Squirt y una meticulosa limpieza después de cada salida.
