Perfect for jeans
I purchased this because I stained my jeans by the pool with chlorine. I was hoping I'd be able to salvage this pair because I'm short and these are a favorite pair. The color is amazing for jeans. The second picture represents the color better (compared to the faded pair). The bleach stain didn't really get covered, but I had already been warned. The navy color is fantastic! I did use 2 boxes. I did that because (again) I suspected that the chlorine party wouldn't be colored. Great product, though. Super easy to use. I will buy it again.

Color is perfect.
Used to dye a beige acrylic sweater navy blue. I used the stove up method and 2 packets of dye. The color came out perfectly. The sweater did shrink some but it was big on me so didn't create an issue. Have worn it several times with many compliments.

Cheap enough to buy more than suggested, then get better results!
Admittedly I think Dylon might be the best dye range, but Rit is still my favorite for basic colors. You can’t beat the price, and frequently get better results than more expensive dyes because you can buy more than asked for and get super dark coloring.

too light
i have a striped polo shirt, blue and white, which I wanted to make blue. After 2 attempts of dying it with indigo Rit following all instructions and even boiling it for 30 minutes, white stripes became just a very light shade of indigo. Not satisfied!

I tried to tye die a shirt and the navy blue didn't come out on the shirt at all. I don't know if it's the fabric or the dye, but I was very disappointed.
