Life Saver
These lactase drops are a life saver for me, I've had lactose intolerance since the 1980s and with their help I can drink milk - lots of it! I've become increasingly intolerant over the years and now have to add 15 drops to a litre of milk and refrigerate for at least 24-36 hours. The cost of the drops has steadily increased as well, but at ยฃ9 a pack it is still cost effective and much more reliable than taking lactase tablets. They do make the milk taste very sweet though, so I may switch to lactose free milk in the future.

Just make sure you prep 24h before needed, it's easy
I adore milkaid products, as I have mentioned in another review and this product makes lactose reduced/free milk at home easy and so much more affordable. This will be a staple in my house for a long time to come I hope.

Very good, but why has the price gone up so much
Love this product, but last time I got some (Decembed 2023) I paid ยฃ18 for 2, so ยฃ9 each. I've just gone to order some more and the price has shot up to ยฃ16 per. The price increase has put me off. I'll just buy lacofree milk ready made from the shops instead.

Lactose free has great value too
Each bottle can make up to100 litres of Lactose free milk . The price seems steep in one go but the ability to treat up to 200 litres of milk , when 1 litre of lactose free can be as high as ยฃ2.50 . It soon pays for itself .

Cats love it!
So, I've been buying these milky cups for my cats and suspecting for a while that it looks like evaporated milk, decided to taste it and it tasted like evaporated milk too. Bought these drops, as cats are lactose intolerant, I add ten drops to a can of evaporated milk and give it to my cats in the empty cups that I've kept, they're completely addicted and would get into the fridge to steal it if they could, they don't know the difference and it saves me a lot of money, great for sneaking medication into also!!

Lifesaver when Lactofree is out of stock.
With all the covid shortages, HGV driver shortages, and brexit supply issues, I couldn't always find my trusty Arla Lactofree. This Milkaid product has been super handy for adding into any lovely fresh milk of your choice. (Full-fat organic from grass-fed cows for me!) One thing to note is that you need to add around 40 drops to a standard 4pt (2.2โ) bottle and leave it in the fridge overnight to do its magic. So this is not an instant solution for use at say Starbucks or in a hotel. The other thing, which is well documented, is because it breaks down the lactose into easier to digest sugars the result is a slightly sweeter tasting milk. Not a problem in cereal or in a strong latte or cappuccino IMO. With Lactofree price edging towards ยฃ2 per litre these days, my husband and I who are both lactose intolerant are considering permanently switching.
