Belkin F8W974 AirTag Case with Strap (Secure Holder Protective Cover for Air Tag with Scratch Resistance Accessory) – Pink, Tag not included

This is a very cleverly designed little AirTag holder that does what it should very well indeed. The shell is constructed of two halves that locate and turn together to lock and line-up the lanyard holes. One of the halves has three soft "rubber" inserts to grip and cushion the AirTag. I suggest this is the half that you drop the AirTag into first so you can align the engravings on the AirTag properly. Then place the other over the top, aligning the lugs and cut-outs and turn to lock. The lanyard - I did not go for the keyring option - then loops through the hole. Once complete there are no rattles and on a flat surface the AirTag doesn't get scratched. Because of some previous negative reviews I was wary of choosing this item, but now that I have I realise I must disagree with them. The Belkin AirTag Holder is very well made and does the job it was designed for. Also bear in mind that this is one of only a few such third-party items that appear in the official Apple Store.

This is a robust little thing. If they were cheaper I’d have them on all my air tags. Great fit, good quality.

Bought it to go onto my Cats collar so we could track him with an air tag. Was surprised he was not phased by it and months later it is still on the collar and he has not got rid of it so far. Have to give it 5 as it exceeded my expectations.

This product is exceptional for keeping scratches off the AirTag, as well as attaching it to a backpack or miniature suitcase. The product is also relatively easy to operate. Inserting the AirTag is a smooth process, as the screwing function of the Belkin protector works without much force, yet is secure once fully turned. However, the sturdiness this product presents itself with comes at a cost of thickness. The plastic, although tough, adds around double the thickness to the original AirTag, as well as obvious width. Ultimately, this is a great product worth buying if you need to attach an AirTag to the outside of a backpack or suitcase, otherwise I would recommend just using a plain AirTag and placing it into an internal pocket!

Overall it’s really good — solid build and clips securely, so I don’t worry about losing my AirTag. The design feels durable, but I do wish it was a little less bulky.

Bearing in mind that this was 25% of the cost of an Airtag, it is very expensive, bordering on a rip off. I have bought a lot of Belkin stuff over the years as it's typically worth the extra cost. However on this occasion, you would potentially be better off sticking with a cheaper non-brand alternative for a lot less. The shell is made of two pieces of moulded plastic that clip together. They are a good fit for the Airtag, allowing it to rotate with a pit of pressure if you really need the Apple logo at a particular angle. The nylon cord is fine, pretty strong with a moulded plastic tag at the end - basically exactly what you see in the pictures. Frankly, for what it is, it's expensive. It should be noted, there's nothing covering the actual faces of the Airtag, yes, the edge of the plastic is technically higher than the face of the Airtag, by about a tenth of a millimetre, but when the tag is attached to something, it will definitely scratch as it swings around and comes in to contact with other stuff. It would only be effective if the tag was put between two flat solid surfaces. The only thing that potentially makes it worth it, is that these appear to be one of a very few number that come with a cord rather than a ring or a carabiner. There is definitely better available for the same price, or just as good for a lot less.

Well.. if you like apple original products and it needs to be from apple.. this is not it. But if you are in for a cheap alternative that basically does it better.. you can’t go wrong with these. Its plastic easy to use and really wear and tear resistant. I have bought a set around 3 years ago.. still going strong. I have bought the apple leather loop back in the day for around 30 euros! And they look awful after a year or two
