They are described as for use post c-section, but I thought they would also be useful for any type of birth. In the end I had a vaginal birth, but I still decided to use these whilst I was in the hospital and experiencing heavy blood loss post partum. I teamed them with the Lil-lets maternity pads, which fit perfectly. Pre-pregnancy I was a size 16 and I really only gained standard baby weight during my pregnancy. The knickers fit me absolutely fine and didn't feel either too big or too small. They had good stretch, but didn't seem to become baggy. The knickers were soft and comfortable. They were very durable and I didn't feel like they would fall apart, although they are disposable. If I had a second pregnancy I would definitely purchase these knickers again for post partum. They were insanely comfortable and held pads well. I had a vaginal birth but can see how they’d be good for c sections too with where the waist is but can’t say for sure but for someone who had bad tearing and needed lots of pads they were amazing!
