We have always crate trained our puppies. However before we brought the last two home, at 2 months old, my husband & I attended a dog product show at our local farmers market and a breeder of French Bulldogs was there and her puppies were confined in this pen. We thought this would be a great solution to secure our new puppies whenever we would need to leave them unattended, rather than in a crate. This product is built very well, folds away easily for storage when not in use, and keeps our puppies safe and prevents them from biting inappropriate objects, like our couch pillows or baseboards or cords plugged into an outlet. Very functional and large enough that we were able to place a large Bowser Donut Bed inside this crate with plenty of room to spare for them to play outside of that bed. Highly recommend this as an alternative to using a crate because every crate we previously purchased we had to give away due to lack of storage space. This crate easily folds up compactly making it easy to store for future use. If using this indoors on tile or wood floors I highly recommend also buying the FXW Floor protectors & muffler tubes to protect your floors from scratches & to muffle the noise from the crate when the dogs play and bang into it. We found it to be such a great alternate solution we bought a second one, sans mufflers & floor protectors to use outside in our yard so they could play in the sunshine & nice weather without having to worry about them getting out of our yard as they were still small enough to fit through the bars of our fence. We also recommend purchasing the carry straps and handle to secure the crate when folding it up for ease in carrying to store. All around excellent product. We still use this product to contain them when our pest control service is out every two months to treat the inside of our house so our puppies are not anywhere near the product being sprayed which is pet safe after it drys. Takes seconds to put up and take down afterward. Highly recommend all of these FXW superior products.

Sturdy, easy set up, perfect. Bought this outdoor pen to allow my corgi to use the bathroom without my larger dog coming and eating her poop. Works perfectly, though I should have gone for more panels but that’s on me. Looks nice, was very easy to install and the price was better than any other options I saw out there. You should definitely get this if you are looking for something for outside.

This is definitely a good upsize from a traditional crate. I used to have 2 large size crates linked together for my 2 pits, so they could be together and have enough room. Which was enough for them to lay / get up stretch and get water, on days when were both at work, or running errands, this worked. But i still felt bad of course. (I cant leave them out). I started hunting for something more spacious and found this Playpen. When used as a crate/pen, the open top creates a more open, less enclosed feeling. With the 8 pieces at 40” height. Its about perfect. Im glad i did not go shorter. Honestly may buy a couple more fencing pieces to enlarge it on the 2 days a week that they are in there the longest. Then just take that extra bit off when we’re home. It seems like a huge upgrade for us and them. It also somewhat fits into the decor of the house, than a traditional crate would. Its sturdy, very easy to put up and take down. It seems people are using these for makeshift fencing while camping and stuff too, so that is also a plus. Id recommend for sure. Give your pups some breathing room!!

PROs: Rugged construction yet very portable; easy to assemble; separate panels makes it configurable in a variety of shapes and positions; panels can be purchased/added/removed to fit your space CONs: Mufflers really should be provided, not an add-on purchase; would be nice to also have available in white like the HomePlus Looking for a solution for a small elderly dog with mobility and vision issues, I needed something to help contain her to an area without crating her. Enter the FXW playpen. This is a solid and well made product. Each panel has two anchor points that align with the other panel's opposite side. Once aligned, you slide the stake through the four anchor points and then arrange in whatever way you need. This makes it very easy to adjust and move around. The metal construction makes it somewhat heavy, but that's what you want in something like this. Stronger dogs might end up bending the smaller bars of each individual panel, so that is something to consider. In my case, our dog is small and can't really damage the fencing. We did purchase the additional stake floor protectors and the mufflers (the mufflers are highly recommended and honestly I think they should just be included or built into the panels). Additional panels can be purchased, including another door panel, to make this highly customizable for what you need in the space you have. I installed this under a table to save room, and thanks to the independent panel construction, I can pull one of the stakes and swing the side open to access food and water bowls and reach for the dog when she gets lost. And on nice weather days, I can move the entire thing outside into the yard and let her get some warm sun without worrying about keeping her from wandering blindly into dangerous areas. Be aware that you will likely need to purchase some of the add-on pieces, so you may want to find a bundle package, or you can order them separately as needed. Thank you FXW, this has made my parents' lives much more manageable. Note: I purchased this not knowing there was a HomePlus version which would have been more suitable for my purposes. However, I prefer this one in part because the door panel is a single lock compared to the dual lock of the HomePlus. I ordered HomePlus stakes to swap out because they are flush with the top of the fencing.

Good sturdy play pen. Easy to put together. Works great for my new puppy. My biggest gripe is that you have to use two hands to open the latches. I wish it was easier to open one handed.

I really love this playpen! It was super easy to assemble and has plenty of space for my pocket bully pup. My puppy is a tiny destruction machine—she’s destroyed every playpen we’ve tried—but this one is perfect. I was a bit worried about using it on our hardwood floor, but with the reusable pee pad they recommend, it stays in place perfectly. That was my only concern before buying, and it worked like a charm. Now I can keep her contained while cleaning the house or putting groceries away without my little devil getting in the way. She’s happy, I’m happy, and the best part is I can even use it outdoors in the summer. Great product all around!

Sturdy product that can be used indoor or outdoor and enough space to fit my two small dogs, toilet and feeding area as well.
