Does this have a BA15S base and is the bulb equilivant to an 1156?

Yes this has a BAU15s base. A 1156 bulb has little tabs on the base that are 180° apart, or exactly opposite each other. This bulb which is a 7507, has those tabs 150° apart. If you file down one of the tabs then you can use the bulb in either type of socket. The tabs don't do anything other than help hold it in place and it'll still be snug and work even if one has been sanded down a bit.
