Plax Plaque Loosening Rinse, Soft Mint 24 fl oz (2 Pack)

Besides a toothbrush and floss, Plax is the most impactful product I’ve used for my teeth and gums. It’s literally a magic potion. I was diagnosed by a dentist as having periodontal. My gums were visibly receding, I was having pain, it sucked! I bought some Plax one day and decided to use it religiously. I went years without going to a dentist (no insurance), and when I finally did, they almost didn’t believe that I had periodontal. It’s now a non-issue, and although I’m not sure I’d you could say I’m “cured”, it’s as close as you can get. I’d pay many, many times the price it’s sold at, and I refuse to buy any of the more affordable store brand versions because Plax deserves every cent for creating this amazing product.

My TEETH ARE abyssmal. Due to numerous digestive and health issues my teeth are on a constant decline leaving my gums in a constant recession and between my water flosser, and Plax I can pull a freaking small meal out from between my teeth after a meal. This stuff is a LIFESAVER at helping to break down calculous buildup from the years when I was homeless, and helps IMMENSELY with my periodontitis (bad breath) that stems from severe acid reflux issues. It's not a miracle worker. It takes time to take effect, but believe me, you'll know once it starts working. Your teeth WILL become more sensitive because parts that were previously covered are going to slowly become exposed as buildup breaks apart. This is a GOOD thing, albeit mildly painful for some time until your nerves lessen in sensitivity.

My dentist recommended Plax because I kept getting cavities despite careful brushing and flossing. I haven't had any more cavities since I started using it and it makes my teeth feel cleaner, almost like I've just had a cleaning. During the pandemic, I had a hard time finding Plax and used a drugstore brand substitute, and it confirmed it's absolutely worth paying more for the real thing. The drugstore brand tasted weird and didn't leave me with the same nice clean feeling.

I have been regularly using this product before brushing my teeth every evening and morning for many years as it helps to dislodge the accumulated plaque from the teeth that could be then easily removed by brushing. Unfortunately, recently it disappeared from the shelves of all the stores in Houston. And as it often happens, Amazon came to the rescue ( I sometimes wonder if there are any products that they do not carry... ). Thank you, Amazon!

Different flavor, but still mint. Intended to be used prior to your normal brush & floss, I'm assuming that it is supposed to aid in plaque removal. I received a great checkup after a year (Covid!), so maybe it helped. I now use it before and after. I like ACT, but this is also acceptable.

The best product anyone ever invented for brushing teeth. I've been using it instead of tooth past since it came on the market decades ago. Save your teeth from wear. Tooth past is an abrasive. You can polish headlight covers and remove scratches from your car with tooth paste. Why would anyone use an abrasive on their teeth? Furthermore, it wears out your electric tooth brush gears. Take a sip of Plax and leave it in your mouth while you shave or wash your face. Don't spit it out, just lean over the sink and brush your teeth.

I use this as my dental rinse to help reduce dental plaque. It tastes great, and it does the job. But, I cannot figure out why I cannot find it in my local drug or department stores. They, for some reason, have removed a good thing. Thankfully, I can reorder it from Amazon!

Honestly- I have used this product for many years at the recommendation of my dentist. Now, if I don't rinse before I brush it feels weird. My mouth feels fresher using Plax and it does taste better than other post brushing rinses.

Waaay too expensive.

Great product but over priced. Take time to find the product at a regular price from a store.

Interesting that no where on the bottle does it claim to loosen or remove plaque.
