Over the summer i brought it with me to the beach and only had a small bag that could barely fit my towel but it’s so compact that it made it easy to carry along. The weather was supposed to be clear but it drizzled that day, luckily the water just slid right off (along with the sand). Not really sure what material it’s made of but it definitely felt soft to the touch and is surprisingly durable as i had a small stick poking me in the back at one point while i while i was laying on it, which i thought had poked a hole in it but had no damage at all.

**Q: Since it's black colored, can this become too hot to sit on on a really hot day with the sun shining down?**

Our team hasn't experienced any issues with the blanket over-heating in the sun. Though, like any product left in direct sunlight for extended periods of time, this will of course heat up to an extent. If you would like to explore a Pocket Blanket with a non-black base, you can check your local REI for an exclusive "Splash" blue colorway!

**Q: Is the stitching uncomfortable to sit on with bare skin? Like if in a swim suit or kneeling on it would it be uncomfortable or is it soft?**
A: Cant feel the stitching, great "bang-in-the-woods" blanket. Have fun

**Q: What is the difference between v4 and 2.0 (i've had 2.0 and lost it somewhere and just curious about updates before buying)?**
A: Upgraded materials: V4 is more waterproof and has a nicer outer pouch material.  Other than that, they're quite similar.  Size is the same, both contain corner stakes and sand pockets, plus the fold guide.

Definitely a handy lil thing! Over the summer i brought it with me to the beach and only had a small bag that could barely fit my towel but it’s so compact that it made it easy to carry along. The weather was supposed to be clear but it drizzled that day, luckily the water just slid right off (along with the sand). Not really sure what material it’s made of but it definitely felt soft to the touch and is surprisingly durable as i had a small stick poking me in the back at one point while i while i was laying on it, which i thought had poked a hole in it but had no damage at all.

The Matador pocket blanket is a great piece of equipment for outdoor activities. It folds up easily and is very compact. It has a lot of great features and it expands to a size that is useful for a variety of purposes. I have tested the Matador pocket blanket as an improvised emergency shelter, an improvised bag to carry bushcraft gear, a windbreak, an improvised tourniquet, and an improvised sling for a simulated arm injury. I would definitely recommend that everyone add a Matador pocket blanket as a part of your everyday carry and your bug-out bag kit. I would definitely like to get several more of these. My only recommendation to the company would be to make the material just a little thicker or change to the material used to make a US GI Poncho.
