Aluratek AIS1F I-Stream is a receiver and not a transmitter. I bought this thinking its a transmitter, where i was suppose to connect it to the TV and hear the audio on my bluetooth headphone. given 2 star because this was not mentioned any where and I landed buying what I was not suppose to.

Great stuff
Very handy and compact product that shuts itself off when the Bluetooth signal is cut. Lasted for more than 8 hours straight with a single charge. Easy connectivity to my phone and car radio AUX jack. I highly recommend this product for anyone that wants wireless connectivity and great sound quality also. Audio receiver has a distinctive beep which is emitted through the stereo when it needs a recharge.

As advertised, but it sleeps after a minute
This works as advertised and it sounds fine. It has a couple of quirks. Mine is permanently powered and attached to an amp, but it goes to sleep after a minute of no bluetooth connection. It then requires a button press to wake it up. To work around that, I conscripted a nearby Linux server with a cheap USB Bluetooth dongle to connect/disconnect every few seconds. The workaround has one flaw; the receiver sometimes cuts out the audio from a connected device briefly when it gets a connection request from my server.
