But these are so cheap so you really don't need refills. Just an FYI- these are only 2 bucks on elf site. **Q: Is this Water proof pencil?** A: I don’t think so, but it’s every bit as good, if not better, than the expensive IT brand I had been using. **Q: Which shade is black?** A: This product is available in Black at elfcosmetics.com **Q: How do you sharpen this?** A: You don't. This product, and many other similar products, aren't intended to be sharpened. They are intended only to be rolled out a little at a time to apply. For that to work for me, I need a very fine tip - not a broader one as this pencil has. I am in my 70's and my eyebrows have thinned markedly; especially on the outer half. The inner portion just needs a little filling in, but the outer part must be almost completely drawn in. This pen is not fine enough for my situation. The best, though not perfect, product I have found to make very fine lines is it Cosmetics, Brow Power, super skinny. I roll out only about 1/16th of an inch at a time to avoid breaking the color rod (lead) and use a very light touch. I hope this helps. This is an excellent quality product which I definitely recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Its a good Brow Pencil, not a perfect one!! *by A***F on 27 May 2026* I awarded 4 out of 5 stars for the following reasons: 1st Star for the initial colour match: As advertised 2nd Star for the ease of application (after you have tried it out a couple of times initially) 3rd Star for texture of the Brow Pencil. It just glides over your own lashes 4th Star for the brush end, its easier to have a stiffer bristle in order to brush before and after 5th STAR NOT GIVEN: It doesn't always stay on when you when you comb it afterwards. It comes off a little too easily if is disturbed. If you touch up any liquid foundation and the sponge/finger get too close.. that can really leave you in a mess. It makes it dark again, or it flakes or even runs! Again if you use a dry brush/spong etc to touch up any make up, if you are not extra careful, you can end up with the exact same problems. It is FAR to easy to press a little too hard during application. In most cases this will result in needing to remove the whole eyebrow and restarting. Summary: Of course it is not without its faults.
