Didax Unifix Cubes, Set of 1000

As a first grade teacher, the Didax Unifix Cubes have been an incredibly useful tool in my classroom. The set of 1000 pieces has given me more than enough to work with, whether students are using them for math activities or during free play. I've found that they're versatile enough to support different learning needs—some students use them to build understanding around number concepts, while others just enjoy the opportunity to create and explore. The cubes are durable and have held up well with daily use, which matters when you're working with young learners who aren't always gentle with materials. Through their use and manipulation their children can construct and coordinate relationships, the stuff of mathematical thinking.

I bought this to gift to a classroom teacher. I used a set for 25 years and they were still like new when I left them when I retired. These are the best manipulatives because they can be used to teach so many concepts.

These are great with young children learning many things through play: colors, counting, sorting, patterns, addition, subtraction. Our local early childhood group puts 25 of these in PK learning kits. Children in childcare are always choosing these.
