I love the citrus flavor and vibrant color this candied lemon peel adds to my rum cakes. This product adds "zing" to baked goods with no bitterness. It has a chewy texture and can be added to batters or reserved as a decorative finish for topping a lemon cake. It's versatile and long-lasting, with a long shelf life.

These little cubes of lemon "fruit'were essentially tastesless and had a sour smell. I bought them to try to add a lemon boost to a cookie that I bake for one of my grandsons who requested "more lemon, please." So I thought this might be one way to modify the standard recipe. Thank goodness I didn't add these to the recipe. After opening the container and tasting one of the little cubes which had a waxy consistency and was almost tasteless except for this kind of old Halloween candy taste that is out of date and has the funky smell and taste, if you are a parent, you know the one I'm talkig about, the one you discover in your kids room 9 months later, and you can't pass up the chance for a treat.
