I have compared nanit to many cameras and my conclusion is that this product is overhyped and absolutely not good value for money. For such a high price, the camera is basic, it does not even move 360 like any cheap camera on amazon. motion detection alerts are not reliable, so we have missed a lot of them. Noise detection works fine. White noise sound collection is miserable. The worst part is that they force you to buy yearly subscription ranging from 80eur to 225 eur to be able to use recordings of your baby sleep which is a basic feature available for free from competitors. I would suggest to buy a way cheaper general purpose camera on amazon and add a small baby camera for piece of mind. This nanit is all fluff.

Works exactly as it should. We still use it with our toddler. Great product.

ONE YEAR UPDATE: Guys, honestly save your money. Don’t waste it on this garbage. This should cost no more than $100. It’s ridiculous. Buy a reliable camera that won’t have you wake up in the middle of the night to check on baby because the nanit app is having YET another issue! —— First few weeks, we liked it. The breathing motion function brought peace of mind. But quickly enough, it started giving us fake alarms and caused so much stress!! We stopped using the breathing motion function after a couple of false alarms, so at that point having a camera that expensive wasn’t worth it at all. My LO is 8 months old, so we’ve been using that camera for about 7 months without the breathing function and it’s such a disappointment. We would have been better off with a normal monitor. The app keeps buffering, always needs to be reconnected. It’s always ALWAYS a struggle to bring it on the go and connect it somewhere outside of the house. I brought it to my mom’s house and I was unsuccessful connecting it because her wifi is not as strong as mine. I also brought it to a trip and IT NEVER WORKED at the hotel. Unable to connect it. I was unable to use it THE WHOLE TRIP. What a waste! Had I bought a regular monitor, I wouldn’t have had all these issues. Paying all that money for a monitor that can’t even be used easily outside the house is a complete waste. Another thing I don’t like with the nanit, it will give you false information. For example, sometimes in the activity board you’ll see things like : caregiver is helping “baby’s name”, but in fact NO ONE went to your baby’s room to help him or her! That’s so weird and again causes anxiety for no reasons. I don’t recommend buying this AT ALL. I regret spending all that money on that monitor.

I absolutely LOVED this product. I bought it ALMOST A year ago it was working good. A minor glitch here and there. then this morning I went to open the app to check it. And it said it was “trying to reconnect to your camera”. I did everything it suggested , tried unplugging it, restarting my internet, checked to see if the plugs are even working. There is no sign that it’s even turned on because no blue light is coming on. I held it for 10 seconds. NOTHING is making it work again. This is WAY to expensive to just break like that in less then a year?????????? Ugh UPDATE. You get a 1 year limited warranty. Mine was thankfully still under warranty but they sent me a new replacement head. Mine was dead it just stopped working. They were very nice and helpful.

Purchased as a gift for a friends baby shower. They loved it!

I bought this as a gift for my daughter and her partner. They love the product and all that it does now that baby is here. The only disadvantage is that the floor stand does not fit nicely under the crib (7" clearance) - it has to be entered along the long part of the crib. Therefore the crib cannot be snug against the wall and has to stick out a bit into the room. It works, but not perfect. The wall mount might solve this problem...
